My mom used to play this with us. Here is her version:

ABCD puppies.

LMNO puppies.

SDR puppies. CMPN?

Translation:

"Hey, B, see the puppies?"

"Hell, them ain't no puppies."

"Yes, they are puppies. See them peeing?"

These are from a cute little book, long out of print by William Steg. He wrote a childrens book using only words made from letters. I found it today as Lisa and I were cleaning the basement. It was one of her favorites when se was a kid.
