Just to let you know the big screen is going on he upcoming drydock, it's being replaced with a similar new led screen which is also going to be 3d. Heading back to find out more snippets.

Keep us posted!!! Are they starting any pre dry dock work that you can see?....I know they have in the past and was just wondering if they started anything in the public places yet. Considering how much work they have to do I would not be surprised!!!

Have a great cruise. Take lots of pics of her "before".

Why would they make the big screen on deck 3d? That doesn't really make sense to me at all? Especially since 3d TV is not doing as well as the TV manufacturers though, plus ode that men they are going to be handing out 3d glasses for poel to watch stuff on deck. I wonder how many of those will end up in the pool if they do that?

Yes they are saying 3d, that was the hotel director from Canada, they are also making a large balcony on deck 4 above the atrium in the corner where the staircase is being removed, this is to accommodate the baby grand piano. Other little bit of info, in Palo the floor is being removed and replaced with black marble, the blinds are being replaced and the restaurant extended by removing the slanted area next to to the window seats, this will close the light below to cabanas but extending the Palo above. More to follow when I get a chance to grill them more.

Posting from the Campo de Fiore in Rome.

We are on the Magic on Nov 6 because I can't wait to see the changes!

Excited to have 3D at the pool: Disney has plenty of 3D offerings. When I consider how far advanced tv's have gone in the past 15 years, a new screen should be awesome!

Ask if they are adding a concierge lounge.

No they have nowhere they can put one

I agree a new screen will be good but I really think 3D is completely unnecessary as with a TV you really have to be seated in the dead centre of it, plus also unless they are completely enclosing the deck I doubt you would be able to see anything in 3D ever.

I guess you haven't seen a new 3D TV. We don't use the 3D conversion for regular TV, but we do use it to watch 3D Blu Rays and you can watch ours from various angles and still see it clearly and get very good 3D effects.

That being said, it doesn't make sense to put a 3D screen out on the pool deck area when you have the theater on board for 3D movies.

It will be interesting to see how this works out. I'm not sure about 3D on deck, but I'm sure they (Disney) have thought of everything.

The whole 3d thing is stupid, so hopefully the rumor is not true. But a new screen was needed!

This dry dock is the most bitter sweet experience I have ever had. I love the old, but I'm excited for the new. It's hard.

Yes your quite right, you stole the words straight out of Capt John,s mouth, I door stepped him outside the elevators after Palo brunch and yrs they would have loved too find the room although its not possible without moving major changes to staterooms. I wished him luck, although its Capt Robert who is overseeing the project.

Can you ask about On Demand movies in the rooms? LOVED that on the Dream!

As the previous poster said, too late, however I have asked them this before and they have said they will be fitting various entertainment cabling for various on demand services including billing, they are not committing to saying yes. Some of his is due to cost, honestly some projects such as the Spa will suffer from cost cuts, they spa was to be major however much apart from the entry will be re-tiling.

We shall all have to wait
