Original plan: Beach Club for spring break. Canceled
Reschedule for August, seemingly a miracle that a room was available. Great! Was thinking about changing hearing that SAB was not opening during the initial phase, was holding out that the next phase would be by August. After hearing the NBA’s plan, that doesn’t seem likely, so cancel number two, or move that is. On to Copper Creek. Really love the Beach Club, but with the main pool closed, and who knows what other restrictions there may be on the resort area, will now look forward to CC.

Anyone else dropping BCV with the latest news?

OK, I missed the latest news. What is it? I read NBA going to Yacht Club.
I know SAB won't open yet. What is happening at Beach Club?

Nothing really. Just was hoping the SAB would be open by the time of our reservations in early August, but with the NBA at YC, likely that SAB will not open till much later considering the “playoffs” don’t start till 15 August (after my reservation ends).

I think the teams going to YC are the ones least likely to make playoffs. I read into it, that YC would be free of NBA teams when the playoffs start.

Oh! I have BCV for mid September! Gosh, I never connected NBA with my SAB enjoyment!:(

That would be great!

I booked BCV for June 22nd then when realized pool was closed I moved it to Jambo value. BC rooms are definitely not worth the points. We only stay there for the pool. I guess we shall see where we sleep come the 22nd now that dVc can't figure out if jambo will be open or not

Sorry but what is SAB???

The feature pool - Storm-Along Bay

I also had us booked for first week of August hoping SAB would be open by then, but I’m moving us to AKV. WDW really should have gotten out in front of all of this with their communications vs. it showing up on the internet. There are some really angry YC guests right now and probably more at the other resorts.

We canceled BCV 7/31-8/8. Didn’t really want such a lesser experience and once we heard SAB closed that was last straw.

Also considering moving resorts since we're booked at YC and SAB was a huge part of it - what other Deluxe hotels would you recommend? I had BWI as a close second on our list when we booked (but I can't remember if it was less per night...)

After weeks of stalking other resorts I finally pulled the plug and bailed on BCV 9/24-9/27. We moved to Copper Creek which doesn't seem to be anywhere near any of the NBA nonsense.

I'm thinking about switching my BCV studio to a BWV garden/pool view studio for 7/21-7/26. With SAB closed, BCV loses a lot of its allure. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely LOVE the resort, but I love BWV too and at least the "It" pool will be open, which is increasingly important with limited park hours while we're there.

Disney doesn’t seem to be in any rush to open their own resorts if they can use DVC open rooms to move guests.

IMO, with NBA at YC, they won’t open BC until they are gone. This will only leave BCV open....and since a lot of owners are moving because SAB doesn’t have a reopen date...I bet they don’t try to move cash guests there at all...which leaves a lot less guests near them while there.

maybe SAB will be only open for use by the NBA? Is that a possibility?

I might have to rethink our labor day weekend stay there. If the reservation will still be good as it was not on the dvc side.
