I just saw on this site about the buy one get one free lunch this week. I was very surprised to see this for this week. I would have thought the food establishments would be very crowded and WDW wouldn't be giving food away.

I thought the same thing at first...looks like it's a crowd control issue. I think I read that it's for certain times (earlier and later than peak lunch crowds) and certain restaurants (to help spread people out). Anyhow, nice perk for those who are there -- I'd definitely take advantage of it!

Maybe its a way to get the food moving? Maybe they didn't sell as much last week as they thought they would as the fridges and freezers are overstocked. Just a thought.

Yep--- I think it's possible Disney's trying to guide crowds into the high-volume CS restaurants and away from the sit-down places. Especially if it's just at DHS. Their CS don't get as much traffic as other parks. People don't go to DHS to eat.

Are they only handing out the coupons at DHS in certain areas of the park? The entrance to the park, maybe? We will be there this weekend and would like to get one of these.

Buy One Entree, Get One Free!

Until 11:00 am 4/3/10 - 4/10/10, cast members at Hollywood Studios are passing out coupons for guests to buy one entree free, get one free at the ABC Commissary, Backlot Express, and Studio Catering Company. Valid before 11:30 am and between 3:00 - 4:00 pm.

This was borrowed from the link on the DisBoards Updates. Since I am not there I can't answer the questions as to where the coupons are being handed out...hopefully someone can enlighten us!!!
