Bwv???

Could someone tell me when they changed BWV to a view by itself??? When I booked 11 months ago I thought I was going to get Boardwalk view. But now I'm seeing on the boards that you have to request Boardwalk view but it is not an additional charge???? Could someone tell me if I have a chance BW View?
I'll be pretty bummed if I don't at least have a chance.

Don't rememer exactly when the Preferred view category was split into two separate categories for booking. It's been quite a while, though (a lot longer than 11 months) because I booked one for December 2004).

The two Preferred view booking categories are:

PV - Boardwalk view
PV - Pool/Garden

Both PV cost the same number of points.

What does your confirmation letter say? If it says PV- Boardwalk, then you have a boardwalk view room. If it says PV - Pool/Garden, you will not get a Boardwalk view room. You can call MS and ask to waitlist for a PV - Boardwalk view if you like.

I'm not sure of the exact date, but it's been well over a year. We went last January and had booked a BWV at 11 months prior, so it's gotta be at least 2 years. Have you tried calling them to ask if any BWVs are still available?

I guess when we rented points from through our friend in January we didn't know there was two preferred views. Thanks!

Do you have a copy of the confirmation? It would say boardwalk view if it was reserved. My guess is it was changed around summer 2003. I booked it in January 2004 for December 2004 and it had been around awhile.

Disney Pal - the BW preferred views are pretty popular and go pretty fast.

do you ask for a BW view?
