My vote would be for High floor near Elevator.....:cool1:

Note that we've never had a location request met at the Boardwalk. Keep your expectations about have any requests met reasonable.

Ground floor or lower floors make it easier to use the stairs and get to the pool without being so elevator dependant. Ends of the hall tend to be quieter. Close to the elevators is closer to getting to the Boardwalk and Epcot. High and end of the hall has some of the best views - better fireworks views.

We've stayed at BWV twice, standard view, and both times got 4th floor, close to the elevator, and we didn't make any requests other than non-smoking. We liked the location a lot, and have never found it to be noisy, though I know others have.

Our friends had a child in a stroller at the time, so it was good to be near the elevator. I would think it would be even more convenient to be on the first floor, but I don't have any personal experience with that.

Have fun! You'll love the BWV!

I would recommend a high floor with a "fireworks view". You'll get something like this:

Another way to request this exact view is to ask to be across from the bus stop.

I would go with "across from the bus stop, top floor". I've always had great 1 bedrooms that way. One time I said "fireworks view" and they told me there were no fireworks views in standard and tried to give me a first floor. Luckily they found a 4th floor but they said it didn't have a good view. Turned out to be perfect!

Robin - I do love that view - was it a far walk down the halls to the elevator? Also was that a 1 bedroom or studio?

My vote when at the BWV is always groundfloor. It doesn't matter to me where on the ground floor but coming from the parks (whether bus stop or waterways/walkways) it is the fastest way to get back to your room. Last time I requested a ground floor because my aunt in her ECV would be coming and it was just so much easier. I don't think I even had to wait for the room when I checked in that morning and got it ;) JMO

That was from a 1 bedroom. We had the same room twice, LOL! I was quite a hike from the elevators, though.

Yup:thumbsup2

room near the elevators vs. room down the hall - end of hall because if you're going to be driving then you'll be closer to the parking lot

room on a high floor vs. room on ground floor- high floor if you think you'll be around to see the fireworks from your room- plus it makes it harder for the little one to escape a balcony than an open courtyard (lol it happened to my friend) - BUT.... if you're not going to be around for fireworks then I'd say ground floor would make it easier for the stroller

I'm looking at a map of the Boardwalk. If we are down the hall "near the parking lot" do you still have to walk across that bridge - and is there a side entrance you can use to get inside without going all the way to the main entrance?

IIRC, there might be a short cut through the end door nearest to MGM and then past the tennis courts. I don't think it matters ... I seem to remember that the parking near the villas is all valet parking and that guests end up parking over in front of the Inn and Convention Center anyway (in the "upper right" of my picture).

ETA: Yes there is a door at the start of that walkway that goes over to the bridge. There are stairs near the door, but no elevator.
