We will be adding on at either BWV or BCV for the sole purpose of having accommodations within walking distance of F&W Festival. I see that people have added on at BWV for this purpose as well. Is there some reason that BCV is not included or I don't see it more often? Is there a benefit of one over the other for F&W? I like them both....haven't even stayed there yet but still enjoy it from the outside. :thumbsup2 I do know SAB is not available for pool hopping and not a big deal with me since I have older DKs.

Having stayed at both resorts, the walk to EPCOT (International Gateway) is shorter from BCV if you take the path that leads you around the very end of the Beach Club Resort. The path dumps you out right where the bridge connects from the Boardwalk.

If your only motive for the add-on is F&W, then BCV is a little closer walk. BCV also has some dedicated 2 bedroom units while BWVs 2 bedrooms are all lock-offs. BWVs possible advantage would be the lower points for standard view rooms, if you are not buying a whole lot of points.

In addition to the advantages listed above, BWV resales tend to be cheaper (cost per point) than BCV resales. The price may or may not differ too much on smaller contracts, but if you just want one of those resorts your INITIAL investment might be less with BWV. But of course, MF add a whole new dimension to the ball game! :goodvibes

I like them both, own at both. There are times when we really want to enjoy SAB, there are times that the lower standard points really matter to me. We began with BWV because of the lower standard points. We spent this last NYE week at BWV, and it was just marvelous!!!!Best wishes to you as you decide.

BWV also has the best views... Boardwalk view. This is why I bought BWV's.

I don't think that the fact that BCV is technically closer matters that much. If you have to count your steps back from F&W, you can take the boat to the first stop, which is the BWV :thumbsup2. (Or use the bathroom before you leave EPCOT!)
Look at resale value vs annual maintenance fees, weigh in on SAB which you probably could use in October, to get the best fit for your family. Both resorts are magnificent, and you really can't make a bad choice.

A lot of it is personal taste.

For some reason I just like BCV better. It's nothing against BWV, but..

Others feel different. It's sometimes just "intangible"

These are all great ideas and opinions. It is definitely difficult to decide between the two but you guys have shown me other things to look at as I make my decision. I know they are so close to each so I couldn't imagine why one would be better than the other. I think they are both awesome! I do love my beach......:beach: they both have the same feel

ditto.
of course, nighttime entertainment, community hall, surrey bikes, less crowded pool, jellyrolls & ESPN, & even a nice homey bar (that takes the TIW discount) to hang out at night doesn't hurt :)
just sitting on the BW, munching a bakery snack & people watching is fun (tried that at BCVs ~ just not as much fun, imho)

btw, we own at both, but greatly prefer the BWVs.

The view the hustle and bustle of the BWV make it my choice.

We have stayed at both and both are wonderful.
We prefer the BCV, which is why we bought there. As CarolA said it is personal taste and the 'intangibles". We do enjoy SAB, even as all adults.
The walk to the DHS was shorter from BWV, but the walk to IG at EC is shorter from BCV.
Good Luck in your decision.
