BWV: two bedroom lockoff villa vs. one studio + one bedroom

Guys, i got a little confused here, see if some of you had experience before...

I tried to get a two-bedroom lockoff villa at BWV for June, understandably, no availability, but interestingly i was able to grab a studio for that day...then I got confused what I should do next,

Shall i set up a WL for a two bedroom with the same view and have it replace my studio reservation once filled? In that case, is the system smart enough to know I just need a one-bedroom?

Or I should set up a WL just for one-bedroom of the same view? and if it is filled, what happens next? Will the system combine with that studio and actually give me a two-bedroom villa (it will be 7 points less)? if not, for me to combine manually, i will have to cancel one? then it will be a speed test of my fingers and my internet?

You can not combine a 1 bedroom and a studio that are booked on their own into a 2 bedroom lock off, even though that is what one is.

If you set up for a 2 bedroom, and a 1 bedroom because available, they won’t fill your WL because you have the stupid already.. it will fill when it can be changed to a 1 bedroom

If you end up with a 1 bedroom and studio, you could be far away from each other. Of course, having said that, you could always call MS and see if they would combine them for you. it’s not supposed to work that way, but I have read they have allowed others to sometimes drop one or the other,

One more question, I know if i choose to modify my studio reservation, studio of that day will always show as available to me. In case one bedroom of the same view becomes available on that day, will I also see 2 bedroom lock off villa as available? if so, I suppose I can modify studio reservation to pick it up?

That is. Good question. I am not sure, but maybe!

No, because there are dedicated studios and I think 1BRs.

I tried that once and it didn’t work. I ended up keeping my 2 reservations and called about location. I was traveling with my 4 granddaughters and was hoping to contain them in the studio side. The pixie fairies granted us a side by side (connecting) assignment=a true 2 bedroom, it just cost more points.

Thx n2mm! Now in the system, for any day a 2 bedroom is available, one bedroom and one studio also show as available. Assuming the studio i reserved is not a dedicated one, I might drop both and see if I can rebook as one 2-bedroom...maybe 3am in the morning!

this actually is for the 3rd day of our BWV stay, trying to avoid checking out then checking in..

I only needed one night. I had a standard studio Reserved. I saw there was a standard 1 bedroom, so chose a standard 2 bedroom but it said no availability. I assumed the 1 bedroom available was a dedicate. So didn’t work for me. Funny how we strategize and try to think outside the box.
