BWV transportation help line...

Hello! With our upcoming FIRST stay at BWV I was hoping to get some suggestions or tips for staying at BWV and getting around WDW.

Boat or walking best to get to Epcot? (What resort should we get off at when coming back? BWV or Swan/ Dolphin?) No buses, correct?

Boat or walking best to get to MGM? (What resort should we get off at when coming back? BWV or Swan/ Dolphin?)
Where and how do we get to the walkway from BWV and vice versa? No buses, correct?

Is there a walkway from BWV to Swan/Dolphin? And where?


Direct bus best way to get to MK? Best to walk over to Swan/Dolphin going and coming back?

Same with AK as far as catching or leaving bus at Swan/Dolphin?

Where is BWV bus stop? Where is Swan/Dolphin bus stop?

I can't say what is best for you, but I'll tell you what works for DH and I. We walk to/from Epcot and MGM. We catch the bus at the BW for MK and AK. When returning we get off at the Swan and walk back to BWV. (I've read there have been some changes to the bus routes and they sometimes have more than 1 bus for BWV,Y&B,and S&D) An alternative to the bus to MK is to walk thru Epcot and take the monorail, this is time consuming but enjoyable.
The walkway to the Swan is very obvious and close to the Villas.
The Swan bus stop is to the right of the front entrance if you are facing the resort. (it's a little faster to walk thru the lobby rather than around the garden by the canal)
To get to the BW bus stop go out the lobby doors and take a left down the sidewalk in front of the BWI.
The boats to Epcot and MGM are pleasant and we ride them for the experience occasionally, just not during peak traffic times.

Thanks Hope. So BWV is always the last pick up heading toward MK or AK? I've heard they get full. Is it best to catch the bus over at the Swan/Dolphin leaving to?

I know someone must have been recently. How are things running?

Also, where do I find the walkway to MGM both at MGM or vice versa?
(we will have a stroller if stairs are an issue.)

Correct... We usually walk to Epcot in the morning, walk back again after Illuminations... The walk is pretty similar to the walk from BCV.. Not very long at all...

No bus.. We usually take the boat to MGM and then walk back..

The walkway is pretty easy to find... Walk around the Community Hall and you will see the walkway following along the canal... Turning right will take you to the Boardwalk, left will take you to MGM...

Is there a walkway from BWV to Swan/Dolphin? And where?

Right around where the canal/MGM walkway meet with the Boardwalk, you will see a bridge leading to the Swan and Dolphin... This is the same bridge you'd have to cross to get to BCV.. (Look for the bright yellow sails...)

We have always taken the bus from Boardwalk to MK, AK, and DTD... The bus situation can be crowded at times, but has recently improved... We have never found it to be too unreasonable.

Depending on what room you are staying in, the walk to the Swan/Dolphin may or may not save you time...

The BWV/BWI bus stop is located in front of the Convention Center.. Just walk out the front entrance of the resort, and hang a left... Follow the walkway around a short distance, and you will be all set.. ;-)
