Give me my options. Two kids in strollers, six adults. I'm thinking walking through Epcot to front entrance, jumping on the monorail, and then to the Contemporary. If I do that, how long will it take.
Or....
what are some other suggestions.....
Or....
should this be on the transportation board?

I'd say give yourself at least an hour. When you get to TTC you have to take the resort monorail that loops through Poly, GF, MK. Contemporary is the last stop.

See if it's an EMH day for MK. If not, then take the bus to MK and walk over to Contemporary.

Another alternative is to get over to DHS, and take the bus to Contemporary. The bus would be empty since most people are going to the parks rather than back to the hotels.

It's at least a mile from BWV to the Epcot monorail station on foot, so make sure everyone's up for that amount of walking.

Also, you'll be using a park ticket to get into Epcot. If everyone in your group has park hopper passes, no worries, but if not, you'll only be able to enter Epcot for the rest of the day - no other parks.

Personally, I'd take the boat or walk over to DHS and catch the bus to CR.

Thanks. Good suggestions. Hadn't thought of those. My mind always goes to the monorail first.

With that size group, you could also spring for a cab/van and the cost per adult would probably be fairly low. It would take less than 20 minutes to get there and they could drop you off right at the main entrance of the Contemporary.

Best Disney transportation option is take bus from BWV to MK and walk (about 1/3 mile) or monorail over from MK. The walk from BWV to and through Epcot to the monorail would be in excess of 30 minutes pushing two in strollers. You then have the double monorail trip to Cont and that is likely another 30 or more minutes if there is any waiting time for the monorails to come. Besides the requirement to have tickets for Epcot, you also have the issue of rope drop. If Epcot opens at 9, you will be able to get into the nations section of Epcot before then but you will have to wait for a rope drop to occur at 9 to get into the Future World section.

I'd just switch to Cape May. If you wanted to be closer to MK after breakfast, switch to Cyrstal Palace and you'd be inside MK.

Chef Mickey's is basically the same as Cape May, just at a different resort.

Going for Breakfast at any of the MK resorts from the BW just takes too long.

I would bus to MK and walk or monorail to Contemporary. It's much longer to walk through Epcot (and going through security) and then taking 2 monorails. With a 10:00 reservation, I would leave BW around 8:45-9:00.

These are the options I would use since transportation starts one hour before park opening time. If you are up to walking think about walking to the Studios. If not up for the walk the boat is an option. From the Studios take the bus to Contemporary.

Another option is take a bus from the BWV to the MK and walk to the Contemporary or take the monorail from MK which should be the next stop.

Personally I have to agree about not taking the monorail from EC. You would have to wait to get to the front of the park when it opens unless the day you are going to breakfast is early entry. The monorail from there would also require you to change monorails at the TTC.

Just my thoughts.

Completely agree.

One downside to this approach is sometimes there are few buses going from a park to a resort during the first 1-2 hours. During that period, transportation often changes buses to different resorts depending on the number of people waiting to catch a bus.

We always take a taxi to Chef Mickey's.
It is worth the $20 to avoid all the stress and anxiety.

My second choice would be a bus to MK.

I would not count on taking a bus from any park to a resort in the Morning.
I tried that one time and it took over an hour to get an outgoing bus.
Buses just keep bring people saying they weren't assign to bring guests back.

And as far as switching to Cape May or Crystal Palace...
There is only one Chef Mickey's with all the Characters.
Our Vacation would not be complete with out it.
It's not about the food, it's the experience.

I'm another one for a taxi! It wouldn't cost much if split by all the adults, and less hassle and stress!

Great point. Did not take that into consideration.

We're probably going to jump on the MK bus around 9 and then just walk over from there. We rented good strollers and a third of a mile is no problem. I do recall that after dropping guests, busses don't always return to the resort from which they came. The taxi would have to be a van with 6 adults and 2 toddlers, and I don't think the moms would be keen on no car seats.

Yes! From BWV to Chef Mickey's at the Contemporary for 10:00AM breakfast. that's by far the fastest and most efficient way.
