I am staying at the BWV and just wondering how easy it is to get around with Disney transportation? Thanks!!

We've found WDW transportation to be more than satisfactory over the years, with rarely more than a 15 min wait to be picked up, usually far less than that. Next March will be our first BWV stay and this is my concern also. We usually stay at S/D and walk to MGM and Epcot and boat home from those parks, we'll probably do the same from BWV. If we find bus transportation to AK and MK to be lacking, and if our room is near the canal to MGM, we'll stroll over to Swan on our MK & AK days and take the bus from there. Returning from AK and MK we'll use any bus for S/D, YC, BC or BW, which ever is ready to go first. Often these resorts share a bus, but not always.

Bill From PA

Bill from PA has a great summary. We (too) usually walk to MGM and EPCOT, and boat back (it often depends on where the boat is in relation to the dock). Bus service is, well, your average bus service, unless you encounter a situation where all of the resorts are piling on one bus, in which case it depends on the order of the stops, and which resort you are at in that que.
Coming back from either AK or MK, grab the first bus for the area, and either hop off and walk, or ride around to the BWV.

Note: DTD bus service before about 6:00 p.m. is very inconsistent, and we have had waits of up to 45 minutes (twice now) from the BWV and BCV, while trying to make somewhat early ADR's. Busses seem to come more frequently the later it gets.

Bus service from BW is fine. Be aware though, the buses will go to S/D after they stop at BW...at least that has been my experience so far. Walking to both Epcot and MGM is a huge plus for us. It takes about 8 minutes to walk to the Intnl. Gateway and about 15 minutes to MGM (at a leisurly pace).
You can use the boats, but I have found them to be time consuming to say the least. The worst bus service? The buses to and from DTD. But, to be fair, I have to say that I have found that to be the case at every resort I've stayed at.

All the posts are correct. Sometimes when coming back from MK or AK or DTD. We will get off at the first stop which is either swan or dolphin, I cant remember which, but anyway if you get off at the first stop you can walk around the back of the hotel up the path and over the bridge right into bw. You will enter BW right by the dance hall adn Jelly rolls. A five minute walk compared to a 15min buss ride.

Just another alternative.

Once when we were there there were seperate buses for S/D from MK. Not much of a line, and the bus was there so we took that instead of waiting for the BW BC bus. Other times there are combined buses and we get off at the first stop and walk.

We always walk to MGM.

Thanks for all the information! Hopefully we won't get stuck on a crazy long bus but its nice to know I can get off at the S/D and walk to the BWV.

Our home DVC resort is BWV and we walk to MGM and EPCOT. We will take the bus to AK and MK. Usually when we come back from MK we'll take the monorail to EPCOT and then walk to BWV. DD and DS love the monorail. OP is correct in saying that you can get off at the S/D stops and walk to BWV. :teeth:
