BWV Studio request

I'm having trouble finding information about the fold- down Murphy bed option that (I think) is part of the refurbished rooms. Is this an option in a standard view studio? Has anybody tried requesting one? I know there are probably not many finished yet, but I'm hoping this might be a possibility for our Nov trip. Thanks!

Someone posted a couple weeks ago about their refurbished standard view studio. It did indeed have a murphy bed, and that is where the 2 person table is hidden...but you can only fold it out when the murphy bed is put away. the refurb is supposed to be completed by the end of 2015. I'm sure you could "request" a refurb, but there is no guarantee you will get one. Maybe bring a blow up mattress along?

we had one on the 5th floor! hallway to the right after exiting the elevators. request a 5th floor room and the standard view section of that hall is done. yes once you close the bed the table appears, open the bed and you just put your table away! kinda a pain, but it was nice for the boys to not have to share the sofa bed

Thanks! I am so grateful that Disney is adding these extra beds in so many places-- we are only a party of four, but having an extra sleeping surface for one of my boys makes so much difference in the quality of our vacation-- they are terrible bed-sharers!

Is the Murphy bed similiar to a cot in size? My kids are fine with cot size, but I was wondering it the murphy bed is smaller than that?

Longer than a cot. My son who is 5ft about 2in and 100lbs slept on it with plenty of room. Its not the size of a baby bed. Its narrower than a twin by a little
