Just returned from 2 weeks in BWV studio. Been a member since 1998 - BWV is like coming home for real. However, the refurb in the studios - what were they thinking? First - no freezer compartment so no Mickey Bars/frozen bottles of water/other frozen necessities. Second - the bathroom tub has glass doors on a metal runner which sticks up so far that it is impossible to lean over it to help a toddler bathe, or to sit on the side of the tub. To hang wet clothes, one has to step into the tub, turn around and pull the hanger across, Third - no place to sit and eat and/or work. The coffee table just doesn’t help while sitting on the Murphy bed sofa or on the two ottomans provided. No chairs. Fourth - and not so worrisome if you’re traveling light - only two drawers. These rooms are supposed to house up to 5, right? I know, long read, but someone needs to rethink. I LOVE BOARDWALK - fix it, please.

Quick question - I have watched videos of the refurb rooms, and tried to find an answer to this myself. Can you tell me if there is any sort of divider between the living area and bathroom area? I know tub and toilet are separate, but I am referring more to any sort of sliding door to petition off for privacy like are in other rooms. I am not able to tell from the videos I have seen. I am traveling with my son for his 21st bday trip, and taking his girlfriend as well. I am thinking we are going to want a bit more privacy when changing etc. TIA

Was also just in a studio this summer - no dividing area between bed area and sink area. Just opens into the sinks and then there is a door for the toilet and shower.

Another thing we noticed was the drawer left side of sink, you have to be very careful of people coming in/out the bathroom. We were in a room that just opened back in December but I wondered how long until the bathroom door ends up with a hole from collision with the drawer. There’s not much space to get ready in BW studio, so the chances of bath door opening when someones using that drawer are actually quite high.

No, it’s actually open. Just the door to the small room with toilet and bathtub.

The coffee table can be raised. We found that the height worked well for us when it was fully raised and we were sitting on the couch.

But I hear you on all the points you made. Our glass shower door wouldn’t stay closed, it kept sliding open while we were in the shower. There’s just not enough storage even using the coffee table insides. We bought ice cream from the Screen Door and realized there was no freezer so we ate the tub of ice cream for dinner one night. Bad choices were made by all parties.

We stayed for a week as a party of 2, so we were able to sit on the couch and use the coffee table since we never put down the Murphy bed. There wasn’t enough space for clothes for even the 2 of us to be stored away.

We were also able to raise the table on our trip and that was fine for working on a computer or having a quick bite to eat. I was not the biggest fan of the drawers at first but they were pretty deep. We are a family of 4 and were able to unpack pretty well into them, but that being said it was much nicer to have the ability to sort everyones clothes when there were more drawers. I hated the no freezer deal. I have no idea why they went in that direction. The old freezer was great for a few treats, some breakfast stuff and getting water cold quickly. Luckily for us when we went we didnt go shopping first as we would have had to throw out anything that had to stay frozen.

I could be wrong or just old but I don't remember any of the DVC studios in any resort having a divider between the bedroom area and the sink area. It's been like that forever.
