BWV- Studio Bed Layout?

Ok...yes its been a couple years since we have stayed at BWV's. We have been using our points at other DVC resorts and Disney Cruise Lines.

Getting to the point...
We managed to snag a studio for a long weekend trip in the middle of August. I completely forget what is the sleeping layout for the studios at Boardwalk is, does it vary at all?

There are only two floor plans for studios at the BWV and they are very similar to each other. Both have a queen size bed and a double size sleeper sofa. The dedicated studios (aka studio plus units) have a small daybed in addition. The day bed is only about 5 feet long and IMHO, works as a bed for a young child. It's definitley not adult sized! The daybed in the dedicated studios occupies the space that is used for the connecting door (for the lock off units).

What are the ratios of dedicated studios vs. normal studios? Also, do they tend to fall under one view vs. the other= preferred vs. standard? We will have a preferred view. I guess if theres not much luck in securing this request then I wont worry about asking for it on my ressie.

The dedicated studios are "sprinkled" throughout the resort. There are both standard views and preferred views. Sorry I don't know the ratio, although there are many more "lock off" studios than dedicated. HTH.

Great help so far, you have made the planning much easier!

We have requested either a Boardwalk or Pool view on our reservation. Do we have to worry about being at ground level with a preferred view room, I would rather be higher up.

I would not think so - first floor is very popular alot of DVC members ask for it. - being able to walk out the patio doors to the pool when you have kids is a plus.


you should have no problem at all getting a pool view - most of the preferred views are the main pool - getting a Broadwalk view - lots of luck!
