BWV Studio 7 month Success Stories? (longish)

OK. Just gotta' ask. I'm doing the WDW Marathon in Jan and hoping to get a BWV standard view studio at the 7 mo window 'cause:

1. It's our 10-yr anniv next year and we stayed at BWI for our honeymoon.
2. It's close to EPCOT (race start/finish)
3. Don't have many extra points (does anyone ever) because our real anniv trip will be an Alaska cruise later next year.
4. Just loved those long hallways 10 years ago and they will be great warm up/cool down for the race.

I've heard so much about the std view studios being hard to get at 7 mo window and that race weekend is soo busy and it's a low point time so it's busy time for dvc....

I can't stand wating 'til June to find out so I just thought I'd see how many DVCers have success with std view studios at the 7 mo window.

Used my VB points to book a standard BWV studio for Sept. 30 - Oct. 4th, this year. Just wanted to go to a MNSSHP, and I was very surprised the SV was to be had.

we decided 5 months out to do a jan trip. we wanted BWV standard studio but of course it wasn't available. we waitlisted and got it about 2 months later!

I am trying to get a SV studio for the first week in January, As a BWV owner, I have made the reservation but I only have 3 of the nights so far and I am waitlisted for the other two. But I think that at seven months, there will be along of changing around and maybe i will get it. I hope you get it too!!

Tammy - Now I'm disappointed. But you're right. Much could changed at 7 months out!

Thanks for telling me your experiences! Looks like I'll just have to be patient. Not my strong suit!
