BWV standard view

Very. Will add...especially during F&W and F&G and the Thanksgiving and Xmas holidays. As an owner I have been unsuccessful about 40% of the time and I go online 1st thing of 11 month window.
Probably because the 2 bedrooms go as well from what I've heard all 2 bedrooms are lockoffs

I have stayed at AKV twice. Once in Jambo and once in Kidani I much prefer Jambo. The hallways in Kidani seem to stretch for miles and no quick serve food or store.
I love AKV but sadly we only will have 4 days in the parks and since taking 2 days at MK we won’t be going to AK. So I think it is too far from the other parks. But I need to weigh price vs convenience. Of course I can save money but it’s not as convenient. Not sure what to do LOL

If you're taking 2 days at MK the best value in that area is going to be a BLT rental. VGF and Poly are expensive in points, so is CCV. BCV, BWV require busses to MK. With BLT you can walk to MK and take the monorail to Epcot and it's lower in points chart. You only need the bus for HWS.

The person you rent from, do they have BWV points. they can get a P/G studio in Oct pretty easily if they do??? If at 11 months out (if you are looking at Oct 2022). This Oct...forget about it!

BWV, BCV, RR, OKW and SSR are closest to Epcot. OKW is really close to Epcot and easy to book. But you likely will want to book the home resort of the person you are renting from. Because who knows what will be available at 7 months out. I have been looking for a studio in January and it is slim pickings and even Feb is as well. Those are normally slow DVC times.

The person I rent from has points at BWV. I am looking at Oct 2022. I asked him for BLT as I rented BLT points for 2 nights in 2011 from him but he is unable to get me two studios or a 1 bedroom for 4 nights next year. He also has OKW but I have never stayed there and with a 2yr old and 6 yr old I was hoping not to have to rely on all buses. I won’t have a car.

Oct 2022 can't be booked until this Nov. And then it is only home resorts. Have him try for a BWV P/G view. BLT studios are soooo tiny.

BLT is typically only cheaper than CCV in a standard view if at all. Lake view is inline with poly and grand flo standard, actually a few week days in October that are cheaper this year at those 2 than BLT and forget the theme park views those are crazy points. I own BLT and often switch out even standard view rooms to stretch my points elsewhere :) but with 2 MK days it’s definitely a good choice! Just maybe not value wise compared to CCV and brv.

I would just book BWV for whatever you can get. Work through a private owner who can try standard or whatever they can get.

Thank you for all your insight . Maybe I should try WLV. Any advice? BRV or CC?

It's the same price then as BWV so just find a private owner and work with them for BWV.

Another way to look at this would be if you are skipping ak having your stay at akl could be a way to still get some of the the ak experience still.

If I may hijack this thread a bit.... we are staying for BWV in a standard view studio at the end of the month. Does anyone have any room/building suggestions?

The SV studios at BWV are along the east wing of the villa building, extending south toward the tennis courts and one of the parking lots and with views of the main entrance, driveway, and parking lots. There’s plenty of landscaping between the building and the driveway, so you don’t feel like you’re right on top of these features. It used to be somewhat noisy in rooms nearest the elevator lobby that overlook the main entrance due to luggage cart movements, but with the no DME luggage delivery or remote airline checkin, that annoyance is gone.

We prefer the ground floor (so we can walk out to the pools, the bus stop, or the BW without taking an elevator) or the second floor (so we have direct access to the lobby). There are multiple entry doors leading outside on the ground floor, and there are nearby stairways for most of those to make it convenient to get between floors (at least between the ground floor and the second floor). I routinely use the stairs when alone, but DW always prefers the elevator when we’re on the second or a higher floor. Others may prefer a high floor for the possible view of the Epcot fireworks. In any case, there is only a single elevator lobby (with three elevators), so rooms at the far end nearest DHS can be a long walk from the elevators. Even the ground floor SV studios are somewhat down from the elevator lobby, since the guest laundry room and a housekeeping storage area take up space before the first rooms on the east side of the hallway.
