Hi,
Just booked a 2 bdrm standard view at BWV. We have always stayed in one bdrms pref. Will the standard view most likely be of the front/bus stop area and a combo of one bdrm and studio?

Thanks,
Bonnie :earsgirl:

all 2-bedroom at BWV - are a 1-bedroom and studio.

yes you will get a view of the entry way or parking lot - that is why they are standard.

but you might also get a lovely view of the gardens or the stream....plus at night you might be able to see fireworks from Epcot or studios (higher ones only)

I love my standard view!

Had a standard studio in Oct. View of tennis court, partial lake to MGM. But a long walk from elevators.Rm #3133. :Pinkbounc

I had a standard view of a great garden.

When you arrive ask the desk clerk about the view. If a better view is available ask for it. As long as you request before assigned there is no fee to change.

The rooms further away from the elevators can have wonderful views of Illuminations. We had 1BR 4117. It was spectacular.

Think pretty much all the walks from the ONE elevator to the rooms are pretty long.....think of The Shining..........

There are 2 elevators side by side at BWV.

There are 3 elevators but they are all next to each other.

Staying in a standard view 2br in January and wanted to know if all standard views are a long walk to the elevators?

No, some are right near the elevators. They would be facing the entrance (on the driveway side), then the standard views continue down the driveway to the pond. I personally think the long walk is overblown. Just think of coming out of the entrance and walking down to the parking lot. That's really not that far.

And the walk is in air conditioned hallways.

I also think the length of the walk is exaggerated. IMHO, it's only important if you are traveling with someone who is mobility impaired. We generally use the stairs to get to the pools or the walkway to MGM. There are several stairwells conveniently located throughout the resort.

Those who want to be close to the elevators should just ask Ms to note that on the reservation.

Best wishes -

We always stay in Std View 2BRs and love them! We request a "view of the bus stop" :rotfl2: which nearly always puts us near the stairwell by the bus-stop. Head out one side of the building, and we're at the sidewalk that leads across the driveway to the bus-stop.....very convenient! Also convenient to the parking lot. Head out the other side of the stairwell and we're by the Quiet Pool and Community Hall. For a view we can watch the baby ducks in the pond or watch people coming/going. It's fun to watch the activity and realize we get to stay two extra nights versus what we'd get to stay if we were on the Boardwalk side!

Never thought to ask for the "bus stop view", but I love the idea of it. If it puts you close to the stairway to the community hall/quiet pool, shouldn't it also put you near the path to Disney Studios?

We've never been lucky enough to get a standard view villa...no one wants to plan far enough ahead like I do and so we pay for a preferred view but are also shut out of the boardwalk views. Based on this, we typically ask for a view of the community hall/quiet pool/waterway. I won't ask for a view of the CLOWN POOL...can't stand the noise & chaos! We've lucked out and always gotten a view of the Fantasmic fireworks...a great way to spend nights when we don't want to go to the parks.

Thanks for the laugh :rotfl: :rotfl: on the "bus stop view" request. I'lll keep that in mind.
