I'm going for my birthday in late April with my partner, who does not love Disney but apparently loves me so he's going. Would love to be walking distance to parks, but probably won't be rope drop to park close with someone who isn't as into it as I am, so hanging out at the resort is important too. I had a walk-in shower studio booked at CCV, a new home resort. At 7 months I also booked a standard view 1BR at BWV. I've never stayed in either. Which would you pick to keep and why?

My vote is BWV (and I say this as an owner of both). IMO, being within walking distance to the World Showcase and eating/drinking around the world (not to mention coinciding with a festival) would be fun for even non-Disney fans. Plus there’s so much to check out around Crescent Lake/Skyliner hotels, you would have plenty to do without even going to the parks.

I’d probably go with BW and the 1BR. For somebody who’s not a big parks fan, the ability to get back and forth to the room easily from 2 parks will help. And having the space of the 1BR to come back to will be more pleasant as well.

I would also go with the 1br at BWV. We have owned BW since 1996 and have allows stayed in a 1br. As stated above it is a very easy walk to Epcot and also Hollywood Studios. You can make the short trek to the Monorail at Epcot easy enough. It is at the main gate where BWV enter at the international gate. This makes only places you have to bus to is Animal Kingdom and Disney Springs.

We also love to sit at the Boardwalk and watch the entertainment and people. Very relaxing.

Enjoy!

1BR at BWV all the way! King bed vs a queen bed. Recently renovated (CCV needs a little bit of love right now). A separate room to retreat to for early risers or those who retire early. Walking distance to 2 parks. Multiple dining options between S/D, YC/BC, the Boardwalk and all of Epcot - all within walking distance. Pool is okay but the slide is maybe one of the best on property.

By the way, for just 2 people I would NOT choose the x123 rooms. I disliked their weird layout which is different from the others. It’s better for those trying to add air mattresses on the floor or in need of extra space for large ECVs. I haven’t seen it since they refurbished but the shower was smaller in these corner rooms. However, the balcony is much, much longer if that’s the most important thing to you. As always, glad there is a variety since we all like different things. BWV SV 1BR are great. You won’t be sorry.
