BWV (standard 1 bed) or BVC Studio in Dec. - Day by Day??

My 7 month window is coming up, and I'd planning to just call on the 7 mo. departure date - we're looking to get a Boardwalk standard 1 bedroom or BCV studio for Dec. 4-7. We'll be departing on Thursday (to go on the Wonder!). Should I call day by day instead? I've seen a few posts talking about wait lists for early December. Any tips for calling day by day?

Any time you are going to try and get a standard room at the BWV at 7 months, you should call day by day.

I would call on the first day and ask what it looks like. If there are some days already booked up, you may want to waitlist for the entire time so you don't end up with just odd days.

I will tell you that I called to try to add Dec. 4th to my exisiting reservation the other day, and was told that Dec. 4th and 5th are completely sold out at the Boardwalk at this point, so I had to go on the waitlist.

Did the CM tell you all views and sizes of rooms at the BWV were sold out for 12/4 & 12/5 or just the room type/size you were hoping to get?

Paula - I agree with HBC - call day by day for a standard view room - any size. I call day by day at 11 months to get my standard view room for early December. Good luck - hope you get what you want.

I would suggest day by day for sure. I can tell you that when I booked BWV (my home resort) for Dec 1-9 at 11 mos, the CM suggested I call day by day at 11 mos! She said early Dec is a very popular time to go and that they were already booking up. She said if I waited until 11 mos from check out to finish the reservation I might have to switch rooms! For the record, we booked a 1 bdr boardwalk view. Good luck.
I can't tell you anything about BCV, but I would think that since it's pretty small, you should probably do day by day there as well.

Wow! The 7 month window isn't even open yet. It's not surprising to me that the standard and guaranteed Boardwalk views are sold out, but I thought that the PV - Pool/Garden category would still have some availability.

Hope your waitlist comes through!
