BWV self parking

I'll just say double check that you have everything you need from the car before you leave it. It would be a pain to have to run back to the car to get something. I don't know exactly how far but it is inconvenient.

This gives you an idea. Parking is the gray area at the bottom. (This is an old file so some things, like the DVC preview center, are wrong but the parking is correct.)

Thanks. We are booked two weeks at Kidani already. Am looking to transfer there at seven months. I'm wondering if the parking will drive us nuts. On the up side--we can walk to two parks. I still have a few days to think about it.

I think the issue is overblown, but that is just me. It certainly can't compare to the parking convenience at OKW but it is not a deal killer in my mind. My feelings are influenced by the fact that DH uses a scooter and he refuses to take it on buses (and I'm not too fond of the buses anyway). So walking or boating to 2 parks is a huge plus for us. Have a great trip wherever you stay!

I've always found plenty of parking in the main lot; the on south of the convention center. Sometimes the other lot (south of the DVC building) is blocked off, but I found it to be very convienent when we were at the end of the "long" hallway.

I don't get it, the average guest walks something like 6 miles in the parks but somehow having to walk in a large resort or to the resort parking lot is an issue. Skip just one expensive Disney meal take the money and you can valet park for a few days.

This is what my husband and I were thinking. Just took a look at Google earth and it looks to be fine. People complain about the hallways at Kidani. I've never found them long. I think parking will be fine. We are walkers. I'm sure bw will work. Now I hope it's available in a few days when I go to book.

We are going for it. Never stayed there and with the Reno it will be fun! Thanks for your replies.

Only a few steps farther than the bus stop.

If it's an issue, request close to parking. There are standard and pool/garden rooms that are closer, you can use the steps and exit by the bus stop. Boardwalk view rooms are farther.

I was so worried about the parking and long halls that I also almost did not stay at BWV. When I got there I could not understand what all the fuss was about. Its a pleasant stroll to the parking lot nothing overwhelming by ant means.

BWV is our home and I think this is a non-issue. I don't find the parking here any more inconvenient than any other DVC resort (we've stayed at: BWV, Jambo, Kidanni, OKW, SSR, Contemporary, BC)
My biggest gripe is with the buses. I hate that the Swan and Dolphin are allowed to use Disney transportation and are packed onto the same buses as Boardwalk\Beach\Yacht guests. >:(

The last 2 or 3 times I've been there the only busses shared with all 5 were Downtown Disney. MK and AK were BW/Swan/Dolphin, sometimes BW only. They made an announcement at the DVC meeting last December that BW would have dedicated MK busses in the morning and to Downtown Disney after 2:00

I didn't know about the dedicated buses! I would never use the DD ones but I might use the MK bus sometime. Thanks for the info!
Also, it has been a long time since I have been on a BW bus that shared with all of the other resorts. Buses have only been BW/Swan/Dolphin for me. Granted I rarely use the buses, only use them for MK and we only go October - May, so that might influence my experience.

Awesome, now I have to find something else to ***** about.

So I thought I kept hearing that the only parking available at BWV was valet? We have not been there torso e time.

The closest parking is valet on the BWV side. Sometimes they close the convention center parking to all BWV/BWI guests and reserve it for convention goers. There is a lot across the street, but it can be a longer haul if you are carrying groceries or luggage. You cannot park at the door and unload unless you use Bell Services. In early October there is a big convention that takes over a lot of hotel rooms in the Epcot resorts and they get a lot of the parking, too.
