BWV room request & recommendations

We are considering making a late summer trip and staying at BWV (assuming availability of course). As Epcot and Hollywood Studios are our 2 favorite parks this would be an ideal location for us.

However, we have never stayed at either BCV or BWV so I'm not familiar with the resort layouts, sections, proximity to things, etc.

I'm looking for advice/recommendations on which unit/section to request. We will try for a 1BR but would be happy with a studio. I don't care about which view we might get, the lower the point cost the better.

I know we can walk to both parks but roughly how far from BWV is each of these 2 parks? What other non-bus transporation is available to Epcot/Hollywood Studios?

Any other recommendations would be appreciated.

you can ride the boat - but walking is faster.

epcot is about 15 minutes (okay old and walk slow)

studios is around 20 minutes (if you go out the standard section)

the cheapest rooms at BWV are standard view studios. love 'em!

but they are hard to get at 7 months - now you can at times - but never count on getting standard view.

At this late date, whatever (if anything) is available. My order of preference:

BWV Standard (cheap)
BWV BW View
BWV Preferred View

BW does not seem to be the best resort at meeting requests. We don't bother to make them anymore.

Standard view as noted is lowest point cost but likely will not be available. Boardwalk view (the best) and pool/garden view are the same cost but boardwalk view is likely not availalbe. Pool/garden views, none are bad; if you want to be somewhat close to elevator request a Luna Pool view.

Walk to Epcot is about 10 minutes or less (somewhat more than 1/3 mile). Walk to Studios is about 25 minutes (over a mile but if room is near end of building you are closer to Studios and can exit down stairs from there). Boat to Epcot takes about 8 minutes once on it. Boat to Studios takes about 25 to 35 -- boat route is Epcot to BW to YC/BC to S/D to studios to S/D to YC/BC to BW to Epcot. Note, you have the alternative of walking over a bridge to S/D and catch the boat from there to Studios and when returning getting off there, which takes 12 to 15 minutes off the trip to and from Studios. There is no bus to Epcot or Studios. Bus everywhere else.

Are there multiple buildings or just one big one like Kidani? If we go with a studio we will need to wash some laundry, just wondering where the free washers/dryers might be.
