We are a family of 4 (with a stroller) looking at booking at BWV. My concern is with a stroller, how close to the elevator will we be? Along with that, has anyone had any luck requesting ground floor or are those mostly handicapped rooms?

Boardwalk is a very large hotel and you could find yourself walking a long way. If that concerns you, then you should note a request on your reservation to be near the elevators.

Requesting a ground floor room won't really be a benefit with or without a stroller because the lobby (along with access to park busses) is on the 3rd floor while the boardwalk itself and the boats are on the first floor. So, you'll wind up having to take elevator anyway.

That's good to know about the buses being on the third floor. I'll keep this in mind moving forward...

You would probably get more answers if you posted this question on either the Resorts board or the DVC board, rather than the Dining board

I just returned from BWV on Tuesday. The lobby and direct access to a bus is the 2nd floor.

Thanks for the correction. I knew when I was typing 3rd floor that it didn't sound right. Still, it is a complication requiring the use of the elevator one way or the other.

Our home resort is BWV we always request 1st floor near tennis courts. Staying at this end you can zip out the back to hollywood studios and their is also a door that goes in front of the resort right across the street from the bus stop. The longest walk is to epcot from here. I guess you could always request a room halfway between tennis and elevator and split the difference. We usually only use the elevator to check in and check out.
