Our favorite resort at WDW is The Boardwalk so we are just so excited anytime we walk in the lobby. We had a Boardwalk view 1 bedroom and could not wait.
We checked in on Saturday about 10:30 am and our room was ready
We were in room 2001 (last time we stayed at BWV we were room 3001
) The CM that checked us in said good news and bad news..good news was the room was ready so early, bad news was that it is the very last room on the floor. We did not mind at all, so I think we made his day.
While walking to our room, there was plastic covering the floors and when we opened our door, someone was in there just inspecting the room. She mentioned that they were doing pipe work in the hallways and that was to protect the carpet. We did not hear any noise from the men working in the hallways and they were very nice moving any equipment when we walked by.
I do not inspect the room top to bottom, if something is jumping out at me, I would address it (only happend twice at OKW, once the floor was sopping wet as soon as we walked in the studio, the other we request non smoking and the smell was terrible, other than that, no worries!). The refridgerator did not seem to be working properly at first so I did call engineering services for that. It would seem to be cold and then not so I just wanted to be sure.
We just love having a boardwalk view and I cried as soon as I stepped out onto the balcony. It is just such a beautiful sight. We watched fireworks a few nights from the balcony. Heard no noise at all when going to bed. In the middle of the night if I woke up I would go look out the door and the lake looked like glass. In the mornings it was so quiet and I just love it.
As usual, we had the best nights sleep, I gotta get a kingsize bed here at home, just love spreading out Our son sleeps on an aero bed on the floor in our room, he is not ready to sleep on the sofabed in the living room by himself. It works out great.
We did swim a few days and Matt just loves the slide. Such a big boy now he can do it We spent a lot of time at MGM Studios and love walking. Only one day did I take the boat from Epcot to MGM and love the ride.
Our day to come home came way to quickly, as always. We were not supposed to go back until July, but do not think we can be away from WDW that long. I am homesick already. We are going to try to plan something for March or April.
