Booked a 3 bedroom at bwv in September. This will be my first time staying there. Any suggestions or recommendations? I am assuming all those rooms face the boardwalk. Thanks

All Grand Villas at BWV are Boardwalk Views overlooking the Boardwalk and Crescent Lake.

I think they are also all non-smoking? Can't remember but if not, your preference in that regard might be a request.

Have a great vacation at a great resort.

You are correct that they all face the BW. Are you aware that 2 of the GVs are 2 story units and the rest all on one level?? We stayed in one of the 2 story units about 18 months ago. We have been in one of the single story units. Although we had an absolutely great time, I think I would prefer the single story units. They are actually bigger. They have a seperate laundry room that is huge and would be great for extra storage. There is no closet at the entryway and the kitchen is a little smaller. Also, the single story units have more living room area. There was no balcony off the master bedroom either. In the 2 story units you have the stackable washer/dryer up on the 2nd floor. You still get the huge dining table that seats 10, but it is a winding stairway that does take a lot of room. One of the bedrooms upstairs has a balcony but the other does not. Both 2 story units are right next to each other and are on the 5th floor. The upper story is what would be the 6th floor. When you are looking at the BW from the water the two GVs are on the top floor behind the white pillars. I do believe there is one handicapped accessible GV also but I don't know about smoking vs non-smoking. We had a non-smoking unit.

Are you able to see fireworks from the grand villas? With all the negative hype over bcv are the bwv better kept?

Yes you can see the fireworks. Here's a view from our balcony of a GV at the BWV:

All 3 bedroom grand villas have a view of the boardwalk and cresent lake. There are 2 two story grand villas and 5 one story grand villa (with one of these being handicap accessable). They are all located in the same area over the store on floors 3-6. The 2 story units are located side-by-side under the "Boardwalk" sign in the yellow section with entance on the 5th floor and including the 6th floor. There are 2 one story units below these on the 3rd and 4th. The other three are located in the section closest to the village green on the 3rd, 4th and 5th floors. Some have reported that the one bedrooms have more space due to not needing a stairway in the unit. If you look at a BW picture you will be able to count out the 6 patio door for each unit. There may be a studio between the two groups of GV's if I'm remembering correctly.

No, BWV just has darker carpets! :teeth:

We stayed in a one story Grand Villa this past April, loved it. :thumbsup2

As soon as your checked in, go to the ESPN Club for lunch !

We booked a 3BR GV at SSR for the last week in September at 9 mos (when the contract was official). At 7 mos, we asked to change it to BWV and it was all available, no need to waitlist. So we switched to the BWV. I am taking my wife's family as a Christmas present and a good bit of my family is meeting us there, but not saying with us.

My in-laws are not old but certainly not as young as they used to be and I'm a bit concerned the 2 story might not be as enjoyable for them because of the stairs. Is there a way to reserve the specific one story vs. a blanket "GV" and hope?

Thanks
