BWV preferred views?

What type of views can you request for preferred BWV? Not really sure we'd like to be over the Boardwalk area. Can it be noisy? What other views are there to consider? This will be our first time staying there.

The Boardwalk view is now a separate reservation category. If you don't already a confirmed Boardwalk view, then you won't need to worry about the noise. If you have a preferred view it will most likely be one of the rooms facing the back of the resort and one of the resort pools or the canal. It is very quiet on that side of the resort at night. You can request Luna Park or the "Quiet Pool" views for example.

It is a great resort and our favorite. Have fun.

Luna Park can apparently get fairly noisy as well - particularly mid afternoon in the summer. Your best bet for quiet may be asking for the quiet pool.

A preferred view is considered a water view,pool or canal. I usually request standard view room and save points and seem to have always been lucky enough to get a nice view of the fireworks at epcot or corner room and see a piece of MGM.I liked the preferred views over the quiet pool(usually 4 th floor.)

Mine says preferred view - garden and pool. I guess that covers it all

Someone posted that they got a preferred garden that faced the lawn on the driveway side on the 1st floor.

Can you request a Boardwalk view?? Is it the same number of points as a prefered view? I am a little confused here (I can't help it....I am an OKW person to the core, but opted for a studio at BW for a summer trip with my teens...we don't have to do the view thing at OKW!!)

Boardwalk view is no longer a request. There are now two reservation categories of Preferred view at the BWV. One is PV - Boardwalk view and the other is PV - Pool/Garden. Both cost the same number of points. If you want a BW view and there are none left when you call to reserve, you can ask to waitlist for it.

If you would like a partial view of the BW and have a PV - Pool/Garden ressie, request a view of the Village Green. This is the lawn area between the Lobby and the Lake. The other two sides are made up of wings of the BWI and the BWV.

If you are fortuante to be placed in this area (there are very few rooms in this area, but most are studios), you will have a partial view of the lake and the Boardwalk and will very likely be able to see the higher level IllumiNations fireworks from your balcony.

Thanks for all the feedback. I reserved the preferred view. I guess no boardwalk views left, because she didn't even let me request it. I guess we'll just wait until we get there to find out. I mentioned we'd be celebrating our 14 yr. anniversary while there so maybe we'll get lucky with a good view. I'm so excited about staying there as we haven't yet. We own at SSR.
