BWV preferred "view"

We just returned from BWV today. We used OKW points, so our waitlist for a 2 BR went in at the 7 month window and came through two weeks later. We requested non-smoking and Boardwalk view. We never expected to get the Boardwalk view, but it was worth a try. When we checked in at 1:30pm on Friday the 15th, we were given studio 2035 and 1 BR 2033 to make up our 2 BR unit. The rooms were on the second floor above the haberdashery store and across from the basketball shoot/ lobster in the pot/ etc. games of chance. What a great room given we didn't arrive super early, aren't BWV owners (well weren't on this trip, we are now), and hadn't stayed there before to have any clue at the front desk where we were assigned.

Some friends were staying at BCV and came by to visit. They immediately "complained" that ourview was of Spaceship Earth and not World SHowcase, was too low to see over the Inn side, and that our deck was one of the cutout ones for view and that they had to stand at the rail to see the boardwalk and lake. At that point it was clear that one person's "must have" is another's "ewww" location.

It's too bad that your room view didn't meet your expectations. Disney is all about expectations and I can understand how it let you down. I hope you try the BWV again and that you get an "exceeds expectations" view to balance thsi one out.

Welcome home! Sounds like a great room. Was it dark with the cutout balcony? How large was the balcony? Was it non-smoking? And, do you have any pictures of the villa? Thanks!

We were in the same room as Big Tigger in May. This is a fantastic room. The solid wall balcony do not make it dark at all. We actually prefer the enclosed balconies because they are much larger and provide more privacy then the open balconies.

I like the enclosed balconies too. Last December it helped because we had so much rain. If we had an open one, we couldn't have used it when it rained.
