BWV - Preferred View Waitlist ?s

We booked Preferred view studio for this October's trip to BWV. We are Pool/Garden view now, but I asked to be put on a waitlist for Boardwalk view. What is everyone's experience with waitlists such as these...do you think we have a good chance of getting our Boardwalk view?

If you are at the very end of October, I am renting points to friends, and I put them on that waitlist in mid-March. No word yet. Remember that all of October now falls into the Epcot Food & Wine fest (which I am sure is one of the reasons you have it booked) so I expect that those of us with BW or Std views booked already are pretty committed. Things may open up as other folks change their plans due to other circumstances.

I just had to change trip dates and had to give up a boardwalk view, I am now booked for a pool/garden view and on the waitlist for a boardwalk view. This is my 3rd time on a waitlist for a boardwalk view, since the new booking policy began. I was not successful in my first 2 times on the waitlist for a boardwalk view and in all honesty do not hold out much hope this time either. But you never know. Most people hold on to the coveted boardwalk views, but there is always a chance, a slim chance but still a chance.

-- that's too bad. Although, I am absolutely thrilled to be staying at the Boardwalk in the first place! I absolutely love this place. I had a standard view last time and still loved it!

I will keep my fingers crossed! We'll be there October 14 - 17th. We didn't purposely book for F&W, but that is a bonus.
