bwv preferred studio view

Have reservations for tow preffered view studios at the bwv for Jan. Will be taking in-laws and would like to get them a good view. Since I have read that room assignments are first come first served we will be in the AM. Any suggestions on particular room or floor to try to ask for?

FWIW, the "first come, first served" method of assigning rooms is a "trial" that is occuring only at OKW and BCV. The other DVC resorts are still preassigning rooms based on the date the reservation was made, not the arrival time on check in day. Of course, everything is subject to availability and it doesn't hurt to get there early in the day if you can.

Preferred view rooms at the BWV consist of views of the Boardwalk, the Luna Park pool, the quiet pool/Community Hall or the Swan/Dolphin Hotels and canal. The rooms with the Swan/Dolphin/canal view are currently not available as the siding outside those rooms is being rehabbed right now. A portion of the rooms overlooking the Luna Pool are in the same situation.

Boardwalk views are the most frequently requested (and thus the hardest to get). These rooms also offer a view of the EPCOT fireworks. Many of these rooms are also a bit of a hike from the elevators. If any in your party have mobility challenges, you might want to request a room near the elevators, rather than a specific view. We actually prefer rooms farther from the elevators (less hall noise from those passing by early or late)

IMHO, all of the BWV views are nice and each has its pros and cons. Enjoy your trip!
