Just read here on the dis home info section that the BWV community pool will be refurbed April 21-May 9. Of course we'll be there April 28-May 9. Drat, I love the community quiet pool. Guess the Clown pool will be busier than usual when we all head over there. Bad timing on my part, guess we'll make the best of it! Just a heads up for my fellow spring BWV travellers.

Rats!! I'll be there too 4/19 - 4/26. Sure would be nice if we got to go to Stormalong Bay pool! Thanks fo the info!

noooooooooooooooooooo!! :sad1:
we don't use the clown pool.
any idea if the entire area will be sectioned off, or just the pool itself? (pretty sure i know the answer, just wishful thinking :guilty: )

It's a bit farther, but the quiet pool on the BWI side is almost always just as quiet and unused as the BWV quiet pool.

I just read about this closure and am heartsick about it. My best friend and I spend every day at the community pool , reading, swimming and basically doing nothing and this is not going to transfer well to either the main pool or the Inn side. We even ask for a room away from the elevators hoping to be close to "our"pool. Our last trip we literally felt like we had neighbors every day...the same folks would be in their spots and we would chat with them each day. We are not the typical go to the parks Disney visitor....we spend almost every day at the pool and venture out late in the day...I would switch to a later date but our PAP passes expire on May 1.

we're the same way, minster22.
a big part of our WDW vacations is acting like we're not on vacation at WDW :confused3 lol
relaxing by the quiet pool with a good book (the clown pool is just too noisy & crowded for us), maybe a quick dip, chatting with other guests, rocking on the community hall rockers :cloud9: ......
even if they offer SAB, there's no way we would use it (just not fans of SAB ~ waaaaaaay more noisy than the clown pool & rediculously packed :guilty: )

any idea where the BWI quiet pool is located? we have a BW view studio booked (again :rolleyes1 lol), & always seem to get the same area: directly across from the basketball shoot. the BWV quiet pool was definately a hike, but doable. think the BWI might be about the same distance? <crossing fingers>

To get to the Inn pool....in the lobby go to the very end of the hallway on the Inn side, down the flight of stairs outside and the walk along the path where all the Garden suites are located. The pool is towards the end of the path on the right. It is a very pretty pool but not as convenient as the Community pool (no rockers!!!!)From where your room is located it is very likely a similar distance.

If I remember correctly (but I'm not sure), it seems that the last time the BWV pool was closed, guests COULD use Stormalong Bay. If that's the case (who's got a better memory?), those planning to stay at BCV during that time better prepare for more people than usual at SAB.

I believe thats if the main pool (luna pool) is closed. Only the quiet pool will be closed. maybe they will change it .:cool1:

yes, this is correct. Only if Luna Pool is closed will they give SAB priviliges.

Oh no... I always request a Quiet Pool view. We use the pool every day and look forward to relaxing and reading by the pool.

DOes anyone know what the refurbishment entails. Will it be noisy in those rooms?

This is so disappointing.
