BWV Points

Forgive me if this is the stupid question for the day, but I thought I had read not too long ago that there were some people just called that had been on a waiting list for a few leftover BWV points. I know the BWV were officially sold out a couple of years ago as we added on in late 2000, but wondered if by chance there were still a few small point contracts still out there besides the resales?

I asked our guide to put us on the list if any should become available. Although I think we'll just buy a small add-on for BCV if it ever opens for sale in NY.

I have done this twice.. once 150 points and once 100 points. Both times it took a few months.. Just closed on my last and haven't gotton the final paperwork yet. Ask to be put on the waiting list with your guide... Then just be patient...

Were your add-ons at the BWV? Also, can you take as many points out of what is available or do you have to take the whole contract? For example, if they have 150 points available, can we just take 100? Also, I see you said wait a few months. Was this around 6 months or longer? I appreciate your post, it made my day to realize I could still add on. I am not finding any small resales at the BWV.

I've been on "the list" for over a year. Other members with my use year, September, are hanging onto their points! My guide said September owners are good--no one defaults on their loans!
I'm thinking about BCV, too, if NY ever gets its act. together!

I added on to the BWV both times.. They wouldn't even put me on the list till I had bought WLV though the list is only for add on's. The first time I said I wanted 50, but then asked if I could buy 100 and he said yes. (thought I could use MB but this was in Oct and they said it was to close to the end of my use year-Dec and they said no). The 2nd time I asked for 100 but then asked if I could get 150 since then I could use magical beginnings since it was in Jan. ($10 a point) and I couldn't pass up on the price with incentives... Both times I was only on the list for 2 months..

I've been on the waiting list twice for BWV add-ons. Last year my name came up after only a couple of weeks. I added on 50 pts. and was SO SURE that was all I'd ever want. I put my name on the waiting list again about 2 months ago, and it hasn't come up yet. Since it may never happen, I decided to add on 125 points at BCV. Waiting to receive my paperwork on that. If and when my name comes up on the waiting list, I'll have a big decision to make on whether to add on any more BWV points (I have 225 there now) now that I've bought into BCV. I have to watch where I'm at for dues especially. But then again, I may never be faced with that particular decision.

Thanks everyone! I am going to try the list and see how it goes. We would like 100 extra points so we'll see what happens.
