BWV Parking

My waitlist for BWV just came through today, so I thought I'd ask about parking before I put myself on waitlist for BCV. Do you still have to park across the street?

Only if the main lot is full. In many trips to BWV, I've never had to park across the street although last December it was rough on a Saturday afternoon. Rest of the trip was fine.

Thanks Debbie! I'll keep my fingers crossed that it won't be full in 2 weeks! We own at BCV, and we haven't stayed at BWV since we bought in 2003. I'm excited about the trying the new spot! Now, BLT will be the only place we haven't stayed at WDW!

We have stayed MANY times at BWV and never had to park across the street. The guard shack seems to be doing a better job of asking those who are not hotel/villa guests to park across the street so that guests can use the closer parking.

they changed the rules - only guests staying at BWV are allowed to park there - the other guests are send to the parking lot across the street.

they finally listened.

this was in March of this year. that say since the valet parking is no longer free - the parking is still pretty crowded.

yes anyone can valet park - think it is $12 to $14 - remember to tip.

do they charge if you are handicapped? I have fibromyalgia.... and although i do not have handicap tags.... i have a note from my doctor stating that at times it would be difficult for me to have to do the walk.... will they honor that? my feet sometimes swell so bad that walking is a hardship...???

go get the handicapped - you don't have to get the expensive tag - they have those plastic cards = just get your doctor to sign the form.

you mean the BWI guests can't park there either.

would call and ask the doctor.

mother's doctor had it. but did not know that so got one from car tag area. then found did not need it.

you can generally get this from the information desk you don't have to get in that long line.

thank you... i printed out the state form for the placard that hangs from your rear view mirror... will have dr fill that out monday... and just bring a copy of that with me friday....

The best thing would be after the doctor fills it out, go to your local DMV and get the placard. They will issue it right there and there is no waiting for it to arrive in the mail. Valet might not honor a signed sheet of paper from your doctor.
