BWV or VWL for October trip???

DH and I decided to switch our sept trip to October, this way we'll be there for Walt's 100th b-day celebration, the food & wine festival, and possibly catch MNSSHP!!! we'll be staying from oct 20-28th. I called this morning and BWV studios were booked, so I made a ressie at VWL (studio) and put us on the wait list for BWV.

We love the convenience of BWV, and it is so beautiful over there, and we spend lotes of time at Epcot (it's just dh and I - no kids) and the F&W festival will be going on too! But I'm wondering if maybe we should stick with the VWL??? We visited them in Jan, and we really liked them a lot! They exceeded our expectations! I'm wondering about the rehab at BWV during October, and my concern with VWL is convenience???!!!

Can I have your opinions! (As I said earlier, we are currently booked at VWL, and on the wait list for BWV. (oct 20 -28th))

What do you think we should do???

BWV would be my preference. But your consideration for October may depend on a different factor. There will be substantial refurbishment going on along the boardwalk in October. They will be reparing and repainting the outside of the buildings on the villa side of the walk and thus there will be scaffolding up on that half of the boardwalk and substantial work going on.

when we were at VWL the most time we had to wait for a Epcot bus was 10 minutes. But that was before the bus change.

Hi Laura!!

Well...seeing as you will be making many many trips to WDW in the near future, why don't you keep your WLV since you guys loved it so much and try to do BWV next time you go?? And we know that won't be too far off! LOL!

From what I have seen and heard, WLV are awesome and you can't go wrong!! But whatever you decide, I bet you won't be disappointed.

we stayed at WL during the end of oct. we were not dvc members then, they had not finished construction of vwl yet. we loved it then. Something about that place during the winter/fall seasons make it feel just right. if you have a car, drive to the parks to cure the bus problem. when you drive to the parks vwl is just as easy to get to places as anywhere. plus the boat ride to mk is great.

thanks! one thing I will not do on vacation is drive, so a car is out!!! how is the convenience from VWL otherwise, will we totally miss the convenience of monorail resorts or the epcot area if we stay at VWL???
