BWV or stick with BCV waitlist?

Hello - we are new DVC members and planned a May 2006 trip as soon as we closed. But, BCV 1 BR was not available and we are on a wait list for 3 of our 5 nights and got a Fri. night cash reservations.
BWV are readily available (at least they were a week ago or so) and wondering if we should just change the reservations to BWV or hold out for the BCV waitlist?
We are travelling with a 2 year old and wondering how 'bad' the long walks to the elevator in BWV really are? We stayed in a 2BR at BCV last Sept and thought we had a longer walk but is it really any worse at BWV?
We love SAB at BCV for our son as well - is the kiddie pool at BWV fun as well? We had had MANY meals at BWV but never been int he resort so any comments would be appreciated.
Since we are new, not sure what to expect from thsi waitlist - thought the week in May was one of the slower ones but guess not. Worth it to wait a little while - decent chance it may come through?

go with BWV. when you make the reservations ask for a villa near the elevators - repeat this request when you check in.

your child will love either BWV or BCV.

Can I get a standard view by the elevators? We are not too picky since not in the rooms too often anyway (except for naptime) so might as well save the points for an Oct. trip!

There are SV rooms that are near the elevators. However, there may not be any SV rooms available at this point. Call and see.
