Another thing that no one has mentioned ... BWV rooms are bigger across the board. An extra 20-100+ square feet depending on the unit you book, the rooms just seem so much more spacious.

I have stayed at both, and would choose BWV hands down .. SSR rooms can ALWAYS be had no matter where you own unless you want the occasional coveted holiday season. Add that to the more booking options, proximity to the parks, etc,

I'd be 66... still a spring chicken so maybe I should go with the extra years.

When I purchased my Vacation Club membership... I did not know much about it... Just purchased at SSR. After a few years of owner ship, this is what I suggest... Buy at SSR.

Then if you know 11 months ahead, say you know in March 2009 you are going to Disney. Then I would book your hotel at SSR. Then when it is exactly 7 months... call up and ask if there are any rooms available at the Beach Club Villa's.

I like the BCV the best so far, you can easliy walk to Epcot, you have the food options of the boardwalk, I am a big fan of the slide there (although at peak times not sure if we should be using). Also I found that the transportation there, seems to run faster then SSR.

BWV is older and the interior in SOME of the rooms show it. Friends own there. We've seen it firsthand.

We own at SSR. And obviously since SSR is newer, the rooms look nicer because they haven't been used a lot.

IMOH, it's like comparing apples to oranges. BVW is busy - carnival-type atmosphere. SSR is relaxed, quiet. So it depends on you and where you'll be the most comfortable!

Great restaurants at BVW!! Great restaurants across the way from SSR at DTD with a boat that gets you there mighty quick.

We really wanted to own at BWV but then when we decided to buy we found out we cold only buy at SSR (we were CM's at the time), at first I was disapointed, but after looking at the rooms and walking around I fell in love with the place. We have not stayed at SSR yet, we will in 6 days!! Anyways, we LOVE EPCOT so I am a little sad about that part and part of me really wishes that we owned at BWV, however we also really love DTD and PI so I think that SSR will work great for us.
