We're renting points this October from a DVC member. We have reservations at OKW right now, but thinking of changing it over to either BWV or BCV. They are the same # of points, but don't really know a whole lot about the resorts. They both look really great. There will be 2 adults and 2 kids staying. We'll be spending more time at Epcot for the F&WF, and that's really the reason for changing.
Which would you recommend and why?
Thanks :thumbsup2

Not sure when in Oct you are going but I rented points from the 15-20th and bcv was already taken. I'm staying at the BWV. You can walk over to Epcot from there and the Keister Coaster looks cool. OKW looks nice but if you are going to the F&WF then the BWV or BCV would be the way to go if there are any rooms left.

We have stayed at both the BWV and the BCV. We loved both of them. If I had to choose between the two I would have to say that I like the BCV more.

The pool SAB is just fantastic and the general feel of the resort is very relaxing. It is close walking distance to both Epcot and the Boardwalk. MGM is a also just a short boat ride away. So we get to stay at a great resort, have full access to everything the Boardwalk has to offer and we don't need to take any transporation while leaving Epcot after the park closes.

For us it has everything we need. You can't go wrong with either resort. Have a great time!

You will need more points to stay at BWV or BCV over OKW, though.

Yeah, it'll be 20 more points. But we're willing to pay the extra $ to be closer to the action. I just hope there will be a room for us. We'll be going Oct. 8-13, hopefully everyone will be going the next week. I looked on a thread for people going in Oct. and it looks to be the 3rd week alot of families are going. BWV looks more appealing to us, but either one of the resorts will do just fine. Most of the restaurants we want to try are in Epcot and figured it would be better if we stayed at a closer resort. I think we're leaning toward BWV. We're just excited that we're not going to have to stay at the value resorts!
Questions:
Can the DVC owner request a boardwalk view? Do you have to be put on a waiting list? What exactly are the preferred views?

Thanks

I agree with this wholeheartedly. Shoot for BCV first, and if you can't get in there, then go to the BWV.
