You best call and find out if anything is available for then at either because chances are likely low. At BWV, best view is preferred boardwalk view although chances are less than slim for that. Preferred pool or garden can be view of main pool, quiet pool, canal leading to MGM, or a few rooms overlooking village green on boardwalk side. All are decent but nothing great like boardwalk view and requesting one does not guarantee request. Village Green and main pool are closer to the elevators. Walk to last quiet pool view room is long. From both BWV and BCV you have fairly short walk to Epcot (about 5 minutes from BCV, 10 from BWV). Generally foolish to take boat from BCV to Epcot (walk to boat station is about same distance as walk to Epcot). Can take boat from BWV (about 5 minutes once on boat) but walk is quicker unless boat is right there when you show up at pier.
Can also walk from either resort to Studios but just under a mile from BWV (shorter if exiting from rooms near the quiet pool), 1 1/4 from BCV, but even from there may still be faster than boat which you may have to wait for and stops at Swan/Dolphin after YC/BC before heading to Studios. BCV gives you Stormalong Bay, a huge pool almost waterpark. BWV's pool is fine too. Numerous restaurants in area including: BC's Cape May with excellent sea food buffet for dinner and character meal in morning; BWV's Spoodles (Italian) Flying Fish, ESPN Club (sports and short order stuff), Big River Grille (many home brewed beers), at YC Yachtsman's Steakhouse, at Swan Palios (Italian) and several others.
