BWV - One Bedroom

I can't believe it, but DH actually wants to try BWV. We have been at OKW since 93 and he just loves it so much he never considered trying the others, other than HH which we were at last year. So I have some questions. We will be staying in a one bedroom. What are the views like and where are the best one bedrooms? What are the chances of overlooking the boardwalk? What are the other views like? Any help would be great. We'll be going in Oct. Thanks for the help.

You can put in a request for a Boardwalk view when you make your Reservation but it is not guaranteed.
Twice I have received my request. Twice not. The only thing they will guarantee is that it will be a preferred view.
In addition to Boardwalk view a preferred view can also overlook one of the pools or the river that runs in between S/D and Boardwalk.
We actually had a nice one bedroom once that looked over the river and had a great view of TOT in MGM. I don't remember what the room # was though.

I actually had a great 1 BR Standard. The only thing is that it's waaaaaaay down at the end of the building. 3124 is the # and we had great views of the fireworks from Epcot and you could even see some of the fireworks from Fantasmic at MGM. It was a larger than normal 1 BR cause it was a corner room. The view was of the parking lot and canal that runs over to EPCOT/MGM. And when you look towards the right you could see the bus stop.

Are you sure the corner room was 3124? We stayed in 2123 (presumably directly below 3123) and it was a large corner room. I've seen other posts from folks who stayed in the large corner room and they said it was 3123. There can't be two corner rooms next to each other, can there?

I think the odd numbered rooms are standard views, even numbers are across the hall facing the pools. We were in 3121, next to the corner room.

That makes sense. I also remember several negative posts about the Illuminations view from 3121 being obstructed by a large tree. Having stayed in 2123 last June, I can attest to the fact that there is indeed a big tree which would limit your views from the x121 rooms.

That's correct, there was a large tree blocking our view from 3121. We were in 4103 last month and had a great unobstructed view of Illuminations, right across from the bus stop. It wasn't as far of a walk down the hall either.
