I have had closing but they said it would be 1 to 2 weeks before it is official. Will it be too late to try to get a place at BWV (2br) for the 3rd or 4th week in October? Is there anyway to try to book it now?

It sounds as though you have purchased a resale.

WELCOME HOME!!

Usually, you will be in the DVC computer about a week after closing. I'd call MS and ask them to check (they can do so by your SSN).

Until you are in the computer, you will be unable to make a reservation. Good Luck!

I'd be very, very flexible about day, view, and room type. The Food Fest may be on and that makes it quite crowded.

I would call MS today and check- on our resale closing, our number was in the day after closing.
They may even be willing to tell you if space is available if you explain the situation.

I got a ressie for a BWV Studio preferred view for October 2000 in June of last year. So, no - I don't think it's too late. I was very flexible with my dates, I specified that I wanted to be there sometime during the Food and Wine Fest. I ended up being there the last weekend of October so I was able to enjoy the Halloween party at MK too! It was great. Definitely my favorite time of the year to go! :D

We are on a waitlist for BWV 2 bedroom for Oct17-27. We have a confirmed ressie at OKW so its not
that important, but we bought an add on at BWV
and wanted to try it. Oh well next year when we use the 11 month window.

Last year we made reservations at the 7 month mark for OKW because we were going for the golf tournament and my husband was going to be playing golf. In July, we had friends who decided to join us and got cash reservations for a studio at BWV. I called mid-July and was able to switch from OKW to a 1 bedroom at the Boardwalk. This was for a reservation starting on October 27th - November 1st. I did not have to waitlist for any of the days so I guess it just depends on the luck of the draw. It certainly is possible you will get in when you want. Good luck and WELCOME HOME! :D

No luck for us. My friend tried to get BWV at the 7 mo window for Oct 13 - 20 for either 2 studio or BR and couldn't. We're staying at the OKW and WLV.

As the date gets closer, they will probably have cancellations and rooms will open up. Some people book at their home resort at 11 months, as a safeguard, then switch the ressie to another resort after 7 months opens up.
