We love BWV. We own there. We just left and I must say the furnishings and the room itself are starting to look shabby. We had a two bedroom and the sofa was all stained, bureaus were beat up, and the carpet in the bedrooms had seen better days.
If I were paying cash for these"Deluxe" rooms, boy I would be greatly disappointed.

I get there are thousands of people going through these rooms each year, thus wear and tear. Just wondering when the next rehab might be!

I'm also a BWV owner and would like to see a rehab soon. This past January we visited the Riviera resort to view the rooms which by the way are very very nice. After viewing the rooms at the Riviera and returning to our room at the BWV it was very noticeable just how shabby the BW really is. Of course in 20+ years I'm sure the Riviera will look the same way when compared to a new resort…

First of all, I hope BRV gets the love it deserves.

Also, BWV looks shabby already because its last refurb was the worst refurb I have ever seen Disney do. It felt like they had just taken cheap leftovers from other projects and made them work. The other refurbs on other properties since have been very nice so I sure hope when it comes time to redo BWV again they also give it the love it deserves.

The last VWL refurb may have been worse. Disney hate VWL for no known reason.
I have yet to stay there, but I think that Boulder Ridge has some of the greatest potential--what a great theme and some of those rooms seem so large. Hoping for a good refurb!!

Funny you say that. I was looking at the furnishings and my first thought was, "this decor doesn't even go together"! It looked like a mismash of style when you looked around the room,!

Exactly!

BWV was our very first contract and we have owned since 2009. I remember our first stay; the rooms were so lovely.

Hilton head is scheduled for 2022. They were suppose to be 2021 and got pushed out. Between HH and BWV, BWV looks new. if you’ve not been at HH lately, it’s in desperate need of a refurb. I agree BR is also in need of an upgrade.

From some Instagram shots from another discussion it appears that a BRV soft refurb is currently underway. Since they are also doing PVR right now, perhaps BCV and BWV will start early next year.

Totally agree with you as our last three DVC stays have been at HH. However, our experience has been that mousekeeping at HH is superior to BWV so there is at least that. I can handle shabby better as long as it is clean.

BCV is scheduled for 2022, so 2023+ for BWV unless they screw over BRV again at which point we riot at dawn.

I'm in!!! We own at all 3 resorts mentioned. Anxious for them all to get some love.

The pictures I saw were not really soft refurb. It was more than curtains and carpet. They're putting in a murphy bed and adding banquet seating instead of table and chairs. Curtains were new, furniture was all new and new art on walls. It really looked nice; modern without taking away the pacific northwest feel.

It had BETTER not be a soft refurb or we riot at dawn.

BWV really need to be done. Home resort along with AKV.
This is just gross.
It would be nice if they put in couches that you can sit and sleep that don't feel like bricks.

I never understood the BCV schedule. It is out of sync since BWV had its mostly full refurb prior to BCV. And VWL.... It's like DVC hasn't kept track of when they've done these refurbs and so their purported 7 year soft goods, 7 year hard goods scheduled is already not an actual thing. They now just let themselves be driven by the hotel side refurb decisions and in the case of VGF - upcoming sales.

I'm waiting on a claim that the cap reserves were calculated based on a labor rate that is now hilariously out of date, and it is now going to be 10 years unless someone really important wants it sooner.

I think the last was around 2016, so 7 years would be 2023. Disappointing there was no schedule announced at the annual meeting.

BWV refurb began in the March/April 2015 timeframe and I actually poked my head in to see the last section finishing up April 2016. VWL was completed by end of March 2014. BCV was completed late 2016.

I too was disappointed there were no reports on refurbs at the annual meeting.
