We are doing a 6 day split at the end of the month with Standard Views at both locations having not stayed at either before. I made a valiant effort try and search past posts and threads but didn't really find what I needed. Plenty of wonderful posts about specific rooms and the corresponding views! If anyone has suggestions about buildings/floors/areas for each of the respective locations it would be greatly appreciated!

If it helps, this is a non kid trip!

For BWV standard view, we like higher floor across from the bus stop. These rooms are a staircase or two away from the entrance across from the bus stop and near to the parking lot (if that matters to you). They are also convenient to the walking path to DHS. They are relatively quiet because they are not close to the elevators. (Most noise comes from the hallways). For those who can do stairs, these are very nice rooms - some of them have a view of the EPCOT fireworks (but some have trees blocking the view) and there is quite a bit of landscaping between the balconies and the entrance driveway.

Rooms close to the elevators/lobby can be noisy due to ME & cruise buses as well as the luggage trucks (which beep incessantly when they are backing up).

BWV and the VGF only have one building for DVC rooms.

For standard view at BWV we prefer "near tennis courts" which gives a view of a wooded park-like area looking toward DHS. It's also a quick walk down the stairs to the walkway to DHS, but it's a bit farther from the elevators and the actual Boardwalk. At the end of that wing, at the corner near the entrance driveway, there's a stairway that opens onto a walkway to the bus stop and parking. It's probably a bit quieter than the view of the front entrance (although now that the resort airline checkin desk isn't there anymore, overlooking the front entrance isn't as noisy as it used to be).

For VGF, we had a standard view of the monorail. I'd request "high floor" there in hopes of NOT getting the room that looks onto the portico roof and has a view of only the portico roof.
