In the BWV is there a "family" game room area with ping pong tables or checker boards?

I don't exactly know about checkers, but there is a game room there called Community Hall. They have ping pong, air hockey, fooseball, bubble hockey (probably not what it is really called!)video games, computers, board games (maybe checkers?), and movie rentals. It is all free to members. My kids love it there!

Community Hall at Boardwalk really is very nice. It's next to the quiet pool and my DD's loved it.

The Community Hall is really nice. They had 4 Nintndo 64 there for the kids to play. They had a schedule of activities for the kids, with crafts and stuff.

You can also borrow noodle floats there too. I had to leave a deposit but I got it back when I returned the floats.

I think they also rent Bicycles.

Hope this helps.

Do you have to be staying @ BWV to use this room? We will be @ BCV in June and will have 2 teens with us. Just wondering.

The BWV community hall is funded out of the BWV owner's dues. So, it's possible that they may require you to be staying at the BWV.

Like everything else though, they would probably look the other way if you were a DVC member elsewhere and wanted to visit Community Hall. However, about the time that it becomes a problem because 50,000 people read on the Internet that this is something they can do for free, I would imagine they would start getting picky.

Crissup - Thanks for the information. I have to agree with you that it should only be for BWV guests or it could turn into another SAB. I just didn't want to tell the teens this was an option if it wasn't; so I won't.

I was at the BWV community hall in May and asked this same question and the CM said the community hall is for BWV guests only.

We didn't have time to check it out on our last trip but will on the next. Are thee really computers there?

They don't have personal computers available for member use. What they have is Nintendo type video games, free video rentals, arcade games that are set to free play, etc. They also sell soft drinks there and organize fishing trips and other activities for the kids.

They do have computers with computer games available. From what I saw, that's about all you can do with them. I sat and played solitaire on the computer while my boys played ping pong.

I understand Disney Quest at Downtown Disney is a great place to go for interactive video games, computers and even internet access.

Personally, I have never seen computers in any of the DVC Resort Community Halls, including BWV. :)
