I will say that the bank of 3 elevators on the villa side are very fast. We never seem to wait more than a minute. When we stayed at BLT it seemed like we waited a longer time, even though BLT has more elevators.

But you can't walk from the DVC/Inn side on the floors other than the main lobby floor can you? So I believe that's what they mean by serving the Inn side.

I think that BLT's north elevators are extremely busy, perhaps it has something to do with many of the guests at BLT walking to that elevator to go to the fifth floor. By contrast we rarely wait for the south elevators, even when they have one blocked off for TOTWL.
I went to a BWV annual meeting around 2000 and someone asked the question why there were only 1 set of elevators for such a large building. They admitted that it was a design mistake, can't change it and will keep it in mind for future resorts.
