BWV elevators

Is it correct that there is only one elevator at BWV, compared to the 2 at BCV? Thank you.

There is one bank of 3 cars on the villa side, one car next to Belle Vue Lounge and another bank on the Inn side.

Housekeeping has elevators but they are in their work rooms and not accessible to guests.

Does the elevator near the Belle Vue Lounge serve the Villas? AFAIK, it only serves the Inn side of the resort.

We were there the week before Easter and only Two of the three villa elevators were working! They were busy

IMO an elevator is an elevator, it serves me if I'm using it, there aren't any posted restrictions at WDW.

If I'm ECVing it, the Belle Vue elevator gets me from the front desk level to the boardwalk level on the ESPN side of the boardwalk.

I will say that the bank of 3 elevators on the villa side are very fast. We never seem to wait more than a minute. When we stayed at BLT it seemed like we waited a longer time, even though BLT has more elevators.

Taller buildings, the elevator can take longer.

But you can't walk from the DVC/Inn side on the floors other than the main lobby floor can you? So I believe that's what they mean by serving the Inn side.

Never thought about it because I always use it to get from the lobby floor to the boardwalk.

I think that BLT's north elevators are extremely busy, perhaps it has something to do with many of the guests at BLT walking to that elevator to go to the fifth floor. By contrast we rarely wait for the south elevators, even when they have one blocked off for TOTWL.

I went to a BWV annual meeting around 2000 and someone asked the question why there were only 1 set of elevators for such a large building. They admitted that it was a design mistake, can't change it and will keep it in mind for future resorts.
