BWV Elevator question

My family has young children (DS1, DD5) with a constant stroller at our side. I was told "high floor, near elevator" would be a good room location preference to list. However, being the room right next to the elevator has been a problem for us at other non-Disney hotels. The mechanical sounds of the elevators kept us up.

We have a standard view studio reservation. Are the adjacent rooms on either side of the elevator shaft standard view studios? If so, do you happen to know the room numbers I need to avoid? x066 and x068, where x is the floor number? Thanks in advance.

Standard view at BWV is not on the elevator side of the hall.

Good luck. We request the same thing and usually wind up with one of the last rooms in the hallway.

I have been told that requests (if they are looked at!) will be looked at in the order you give them. If you have high floor listed first they will assume that is your highest priority and you might end up on a high floor as far away from the elevator as possible. If close to the elevator is the most important that should be listed first.

Great tip. Thanks. Near elevator is the most important for us. I'll be checking in 10 days ahead too. I have read there is a place to list preference on those screens.

The requests feature of online check in does not really work for DVC reservations. I would make sure to contact MS and tell them to be surey our requests are listed the way you want.

We recently got back and requested to be away from the elevators since we have a 1.5 & 2.5 yr old. I heard that it can get quite noisy NEAR the elevator. We recieved a room towards the end of the hallway and it was great......nice and quite and was SO important for naps and nighttime.

Just to let you know though, when we first arrived we were about 4 hours early from checking in and the kids conked out so I pushed them around in the double stroller around the BWV (it was so nicely ac'd! lol) and took the elevators to mainy floors since the hallways were so quite. Anyway (to my point :rotfl:) at no point was it noisy near the elevators or in the hallways......so I think no matter where you end up you will be happy!

With a stroller, I'd just ask for being on the 2nd floor if possible. The reason for the high floor is the view - which is OK, but not great. Or the first floor if you are a big pool family. That way you can take the stairs one flight between the pool and the lobby if you need to.

The best standard view room we've had was ground floor - it made pool access and the walk to DHS/Epcot stairless and elevatorless. (We asked for high floor that year).
