BWV-Checking in Thurs.....

We will be arriving on Thurs. evening at around 7:30. Our friends who will be joining us will be arriving about 4:00. They are non-DVC members. The reservation is in their name for their room. Can I have them check us in when they check as there will probably be a better room selection?
Any recommended preferred one bedrooms they should request upon check-in?
We both had our boardwalk view granted.

They won't be able to check in for you unless their name is on your reservation as well as on theirs.

As far as requests, IMHO, any boardwalk view room is wonderful! Don't think there is really much else to ask for other than getting rooms that are close together. Do you want to be close to the elevators? If so, you will probably get a room over the Village Green area Do you want an upper floor? Can't really think of anything else.

I agree with Carol, there is not a bad boardwalk view villa in the bunch, they are all fantastic so your late check in will not affect this at all. Actually you are lucky to have the guaranteed bw view with such a late check in and the new room assignment policy. Your friends can request the villas being close together when they check in but that might be a long shot because they are also checking in somewhat late and there are only a limited number of bw view villas to start with, let alone which ones are going to be available on the day you check in.
