Hi all, I’m booking a last minute anniversary vacation just DH and myself, it will be a split stay and the second half is between a BWV one bedroom with a boardwalk view or a one bedroom at BC. I’ve never stayed in a one bedroom in either and any advice would be appreciated :)

BWV boardwalk view rooms have one of the best views that exist at WDW, and BCV generally lacks in having any great view rooms. If you reserve one at BWV put in a request for high floor.

Yes, have been leaning towards BWV for the view just debating if access to Stormalong bay outweighs the view :)

IMO, BWV view does not trump Stormalong bay.....also BWV is not upgraded yet, BCV's are...stayed in one this past Feb....very fresh & nice!

BWV Boardwalk views can experience a lot of noise at night from the boardwalk.

My vote is for the BWV Boardwalk View over BCV and SAB.

Villas themselves will be similar in layout and amenities. All personal preference. We own BCV and love the location being close to the action but having a secluded feel. Upper two floors currently refreshed. If a pool fan then sure SAB is wonderful. However, I think the experience of overlooking the boardwalk and looking out at Crescent Lake & Epcot, especially in evening and early morning would be great. Someday hope to try it. I’d go with the BWV if Boardwalk category is available.

I also love a balcony with a view ... though it does come with noise. I'd just note that there are a handful of rooms that have a solid wall in front of the chairs on the balcony such that you can't see out to the boardwalk when sitting in the chairs. If booking there and view is important to you, I'd make that request for room assignment - from what I recall, "no solid balcony" is the wording. I really enjoy Beach Club as well but find myself gravitating to the quiet pools as Stormalong Bay is too chaotic for my taste.

Wow! Thank you for the heads up! I didn’t realize that they had rooms with solid balconies (we had one in copper creek on one of the upper floors). The only reason we would book this room is for the view…I love waking up in the morning and sitting out on the balcony with my coffee :)

As I mentioned above, a request to make at BWV is high floor. Those solid balcony rooms are all on the second floor above the store. Those solid balcony rooms are actually OK but if you are sitting, your view is blocked somewhat. They also happen to be much larger than any of the other balconies.

We aren’t swimmers and don’t spend much time sitting by the pool, but we do enjoy sitting on our balcony with coffee in the morning or wine in the evening. So we’d pick BW view (and request high floor) every time. It sounds like you need to decide which is more important to y’all!

I have had great experiences at both
Wife and kids tell me I'm nuts because the pool at beach club is "way better"
So I vote Beach club....

Experiences and room assignment can vary so much, and influence opinions for sure.
Our home resort is BWV, and we are mostly there in 1 bedrooms, but usually pool/garden/standard view. Our very first BWV stay in 2012 was a 1 bedroom boardwalk view....on the first floor. I did not enjoy it at all, I felt people were walking right in front of our living room window all day, and we never went out just to sit. Only other BW view was our grand villa stay. That was SOOOO nice, but as other have said, noisy at night before the performers stopped, usually around 11 PM
Our only BCV stay was a 1 bedroom, located at the very end of the hall next to the parking lot, so not as short of a walk to Epcot/pool as we'd hoped. I enjoyed SAB very much, kids and DH thought it was just fine, but they've never wanted to stay again just for that. I enjoyed the stay there, and would go again.Room layouts were similar, so no preference there.
So, there is a chance you'll be on the first floor with a Boardwalk view, just something to keep in mind. I also LOVE sitting on the balcony with a glass of wine or a cup of coffee, and have enjoyed many BWV 1 bedroom stays for that, just with pool/garden or standard views, but I'm also not against trying a BW view again.

Assuming you mean BCV, I've stayed at both and BCV is my favorite resort. However, BWV has my favorite view-nothing beats the BW view for romance.

You are so right. Those first floor rooms on the BW are pretty awful. 🫣

Love BW view, especially early morning with a coffee looking out over the water & at the ‘Ball‘ waiting for 7am (for Genie+). It’s pretty quiet + peaceful then.

At night, the noise from our balcony never bothered us as we look at it as just part of the boardwalk experienc and we never had a problem with the noise once you’re inside & making sure the door is shut all the way. (One time the door was left open only a crack and we could still hear everything going on below but once it was fully shut i was amazed at the sound proofing.)

We had the solid balcony last year and was so unhappy with it that we were 100% std view this year.

We also did BCV; it is now our favorite resort. But we have 2 kids, ages 13 and 10. Bcv rooms slightly smaller (and matters if you have 4 suitcases). But bcv also has a ton more sitting rooms. My kids love the newly refreshed and opened drawing room with its own tv plus remote.
