BWV Boardwalk view at 7 months?

I just booked our next DVC trip for 9/30-10/7 at our home resort (BCV) for a 1BR. What are the chances I can change to the BWV at the 7 month window? What are the chances of requesting a Boadwalk view at that time? I realize it will probably be impossible to get a standard view at 7 months so if we have to spend the points, we might as well try for a special view

People have had luck with both getting a BW view and getting a standard view.

They did move the F&W forward - so it starts in October now - which may make it more difficult. But you can try.

But you could get Std view, but maybe not at 7 months.

Here's an idea, you could swap ressies with a BWV owner who wants BCV during F&W next year (like me). A BWV Std View 1BR for yor dates would run 173 pts, while BW view would be 212 pts. If you were to swap one of these for, say, the BCV 2BR that we're thinking of, which would run 186 pts, you could just settle the difference in cash, or points transfer.

The again, you could likely rent enough BWV points on the Rent/ Trade board, but then you'd be out real money, and still have all all your BCV points.

Just a thought.

It's possible, just not probable. Doesn't hurt to try. Good luck!

Who knows until you try! Last year I got the coveted BWV standard view at 7 months for early December-a very busy DVC time. But this year, when I tried to get a BWV BW view at 7 months for January, a slow time, I had to waitlist. Strange, so just try!

I don't know about a 1 bdrm in Sept, but I just got two studios for the last week in May.
