BWV/BCV room availability?

Hi, We are planning a trip to WDW in May. We are hoping to rent DVC points for a studio @ BWV, or BCV. Is there usually still studio availability 2 months out? Does it make a difference in availability if I request standard or preferred? I am trying to determine if it is worthwhile to persue renting.

The only way to tell is to try, but my gut response is that two months is way too close to get what you want. Certainly, you will not get a BWV standard view at two months -- or seven, for that matter.

We got a BCV studio at <6 months for this May, but we're DVC owners. Renting can be slower. If you can be somewhat flexible, it would probably be a good idea to get an agreement with an owner and then do a conference call to see what you can get.

Well, I guess sometimes you can get lucky - I just booked a BWV standard view today for a trip in Sept! That said, I agree with JimMIA - can't hurt to try, but flexibility is a definite must. Good luck and pixie dust to you!!

Definitely give it a shot!! I'm not a DVC owner but I am renting. I am going for 10 days checking in on 5/27 and I managed to get a Studio at BCV and a Preferred Studio at BWV and I didn't even start looking until about 3 weeks ago!! So I said keep trying and GOOD LUCK!!

60 days out all unused inventory goes to CRO to sell. BCV could be very hard to get. If you do find a member with an available reservation or an available villa with points to make the reservation, you'll probably have to pay just to get the reservation made. It's getting close to the time when a member can lose their points if they don't get the cash up front.

As of yesterday, the only thing available from the 19th - 22nd were 1 bedroom and studios at OKW and SSR. (1 less 1 bedroom as I booked it!)

If my waitlist comes through for a 1 BR at BCV from May 13-18, I would be letting go of 2 BCV studios.....
