BWV, BCV or VWL

I am looking to rent points and was wondering which resort you would recommend for my family:

We have DS5 and then my husband and I. DS is not a great swimmer, so he can't do the big slides, so I don't think that aspect of the pool is real important.

I like the thought of the Boardwalk... it sounds like fun!

Wilderness Lodge looks like fun for kids,and is close to MK and HDDR. (We plan to go to MK twice and HDDR) so for location this one is probably the closest for a majority of the places.

BCV looks like a great pool! Is it close enough to the boardwalk to enjoy, or would that be a bit of an outing? If it is close enough to walk right over, I would probably not consider staying at BWV so we can enjoy the pool at BCV.

As you can see, I have a lot of thoughts on them and that is why I can't make a decision. So, any opinions or thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

BTW... we are renting a car, so transportation is not an issue!

The pool at BCV may be too much for him. There is an area where you go in that is way over my head! Not sure if it is 8 feet or 10 feet. There is also an area where there is a whirlpool motion that is intense for young kids. I would go with BWV. I was just there in August, BCV last year and BWV is my new favorite. If you really like MK the most and not Epcot/MGM then seriously consider VWL also.

I own at BWV and have stayed at BCV. But, in your case I would recommend VWL. I haven't stayed there yet, but I will. With your ds being young, I would imagine that you will spend a lot of time at MK. FtW has a lot of fun stuff to do as well...petting zoo, pony rides.
The pool at BCV (SAB) is fun but it can be pretty overwhelming for a little one..it's huge and spread out.
I love BWV, that's why I bought there. But, while everyone raves about the nightlife on the boardwalk, I just don't think it's a big enough draw. There are some jugglers, a magician, musicians...that sort of thing. Once you've seen it, you've seen it.
Yep, I would go with VWL.

That is pretty much what I thought! I figure my son will enjoy any pool... it does not have to be fancy! I also forgot to mention that I really wanted to eat at Whispering Canyon so it seems like more than 50% of the things I want to do are right there! If we have time, I would love to do the Chip and Dale Sign A Long!
So, VWL sounds like a great place for a kid... especially a boy! We will go there this year and then in a couple of years when he can appreciate the pool at BCV, we will go there!
