BWV Availability???

We are going to Disney in October 2010. My uncle is a DVC member and will book us at his home resort, OKW. However, his goal is to stay at a different area until he's stayed at all the resorts. At this point, he hasn't stayed at BCV, AKV, or the tree house villas (is that THV?). I've stayed at BC (hotel room) and loved the theming and boardwalk area and am hoping we stay there; however, he's never had any luck getting a ressie there (always full) because he's called too late. Since we're planning so far in advance this time, how likely is it that we'll be able to get a 2br villa at BCV in October 2010? Any suggestions? THANKS!

Book OKW at 11 months and try for BCV or AKV at 7 months. If BCV isn't available, have him wait list.

October is tough to book at BCV because of Food and Wine Festival at EPCOT. Still, if you call EXACTLY at 7 months EXACTLY when Member Services opens, you may have a chance. Of course you should book OKW at 11 months to make sure that you have a place to stay. Good luck!

Thanks to both of you! I knew the F&WF was going on, but it didn't occur to me that this would affect our ressies (just didn't think of it). My uncle plans on booking the 2 bedroom at OKW 11 months out and said he would try to book one of the other resorts at 7 months out. My fingers are crossed! I just LOVE the boardwalk area - so much activity, and the BC pool is hard to beat (I have 3 kids who ultimately won't care where we stay, but *I* love that pool!!!) Regardless, we're going to have a great time!!!

I say chances are slim. I can say that because friends have been on the waitlist for a preferred view 2BR at BWV since the 7 month window opened. We go the last week of October (first part of trip is on my BWV points and then we move to OKW on their points). BCV has less rooms than BWV.
