BWV availability today for 11 months out

Hi. I was wondering if anybody is willing to help.

I'm not a DVC member yet. Our next trip we're planning to decide on our 1st contract. BWV is our top 2 or 3 and we're fortunate enough to have found a member willing to rent us BWV. We really prefer Boardwalk View and I know this is a hard category, especially as we are coming in during the big Disney RUN, our trip is Jan 8-16. The 11 month booking window starts this Sunday Feb 9th.

If we were looking at availability today, are their any Boardwalk View Studios available right at the 11 month mark?

Any chance of finding Boardwalk View for some of our trip. If runners are leaving by Monday, as a back-up plan is there a decent chance at splitting the stay BW View from Mon Jan 11-16 and any Studio for our first weekend (during RUN)? What do you think?

We are not permitted to check availability on the forum here but in general if you plan around getting Garden/Pool view you'll be fine.....Standard or Boardwalk View can be trickier.

We're not supposed to look for availability while on the DIS. If your owner walks that reservation, they might have a better chance at getting it. Otherwise, you are just up against all the BWV runners.

Any BWV studio is tricky unless booking right at 11 months. Specifically from Oct through Jan-marathon time.

Disney RUN ends on Sunday Jan 10th. We're coming in Friday Jan 8th. Maybe if we try to get a Pool View for Jan 8-11, and then BW View for Jan 11-16 (checking in on Monday). Is there a possibility to make that work since some runners will be leaving?

Disney RUN ends on Sunday Jan 10th.

A lot of runners stay after the event. Think about it - most runners generally sleep well and cautiously before an event. Afterwards, they can enjoy the parks more thoroughly.

Yes. Our plan B is to take Pool/Garden Studio.

If not then we still have 11 months to find something. Just hoping to get this squared away sooner than later.

I'm trying to make it easiest for the owner, so trying to decide if there's a chance that would make it worth asking them to check doing a split stay for partial Boardwalk view availability.

Just have then try for whole thing BW view right at 8am online at 11 month window. And if they aren't quick enough on the draw then they can do P/G for the first half (then try again a few days later for BW view for 2nd half...then can waitlist BW view too for the 1st half). They have to do it online right at 8am on the 9th.

As already mentioned, we don’t post availability because it changes so often. However, the owner willing to rent to you should be able to tell you what they can see as well as figure out with you what will be the easiest to do to try to get you as many nights in the BW view studio as they can.

Maybe I'm missing something...but if you want to start your trip on the 8th...your booking window for 11 months will open tomorrow morning (Saturday, February 8th) not Sunday, February 9th. That 1 day could make a difference in any shot at getting Boardwalk View Studios. Also be aware that your trip is for more than 7 days, so they will have to book tomorrow for the 8th to the 14th and then add on the other 2 days as the booking window advances 1 day at a time.

You should consider yourself EXTREMELY lucky if you are able to pull this off. Even DVC Boardwalk owners would have a hard time pulling this off.

Nothing at all at BWV? That doesn’t make sense. Do you have a BWV owner who is attempting to make the reservation for you? If so you should have something for your dates.

Was thinking the same thing...I'd probably just request Garden/Pool and be done with the waiting.

I think they could piece together a start of the trip 8-10 in Garden/Pool and lock in Boardwalk View probably today or tomorrow...again...hope it all works out.
